<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ANiMuS:</div><div class="quote_post">What are you saying? That Karl Malone owes the rest of his career to Utah?</div> Firstly, I said that for some hot debate, the forum needs it. I'm saying that if Karl Malone respected the Utah franchise like he should, he should stay with them to the end of his career and accept that he and/or the team wasn't good enough to get a ring. He needs don't understand rings don't make the man, if we judged players like that Mark Madsen would be better than The Mailman. But ultimately, if he wants the ring and doesn't think he'll get it there's nothing stopping him from trying to get it elsewhere. But I thought that the way he left Utah was like he was saying, thanks for the memories guys, but now I'm going to get a ring and leave you guys in the lottery. He deserves a ring, so does Stockton. But people will remember them for their great pick and roll's and dominance in Utah, not the ring they get when they leech onto another playoff team and I didn't think the ring should mean that much to The Mailman. But it means something to him and I hope he gets one, but his jersey will be hanging in the rafters in Utah, not LA and I hope he remembers Utah in a positive way. What I'm trying to say is, Karl Malone should pay more respect to Utah, for what they did to him over the years. It seems like he doesn't like Utah at all. That prank call incident was just a joke, but he couldn't take it that way and Utah respect him, it was just a joke but he and LA fans can't seem to understand that or are offended a lot by it.

'Just a joke'. "Or I could be Ko--"... hrm? "Or I could be Kobe, a rapist"? You're right, they're overreacting and suddenly 'unprofessional' over 'just a joke'.
I lost alot of my faith in Malone when he did just what he said he wouldn't do. He said that Bryon Scott rode alot coat tales winning his finals, and he would never do that. Well Karl, if wins a title, the Lakers won't be remembered as Mailman's Lake Show. I believe Malone will always be remembered as second to Stockton in all of Jazz fans hearts, as he has burnt alot of bridges as he left. I don't believe the Jazz did Malone wrong, Malone left, the only guy I have seen the Jazz do wrong to before/after they left was Bryon Russell, so I don't feel for Malone in that sense. Also, don't you think if Karl was still on the Jazz and they did a skit like that, he would be laughing about it with the Bear and say something, I wish the Lakers would grow up and learn to take a joke? I still respect Karl for his work ethic and the 18 years he gave us, but here lately I have been disgusted with some of the stuff him and Larry Miller have been bringing up.
Karl Malone has been giving a lot of disrespect to Utah lately (and I think some of it we don't hear about) and Larry Miller (Jazz owner) has just made a threat to put up a Stockton statue outside the Delta Center and no one of Karl Malone. He's taking it too far now, but I can understand where he's coming from. It's likely he's not serious, but Utah and Karl Malone don't get on right now (they did try to cool the situation at the last Jazz/Laker game.
