I do agree we are the better team though and it's a shame that the officials had to call such a one sided second half to ruin our shot at winning. Once the Lakers get Kwame and Odom back, they might be better but as for who is better right now, I gotta go with the Magic. Nobody on the Lakers could stop Dwight last night and if he had made his free throws, we would have won. The fact that we were that close despite the horrible calls coming our way shows how good of a team we are. Kobe got most of his points from the line and I'm not disappointed at all with the way we performed.</div>I really don't get how you're better. You lost to us last night and you lost to us earlier in the year. Beyond this, you play in the East. I feel like I must stress this, but if the Lakers were out East, they'd have the best record in the conference. Instead, they're not even winning they're own division and are sitting with the 4th seed. You guys get the handicap of playing out East, whereas the Lakers play in the West. Beyond this some more, you haven't had to lose your two best post players (and 2nd best palyer overall) for extended periods of time either. We have, and despite it, we've still succeeded. And when Odom and Kwame come back, we're going to be even better than what we are as it is. But, I just don't get how you can call yourself the better team when you've lost to the Lakers twice and have been inconsistent as all hell (lost 5 of 6, 4 in a row). The Lakers though, have been consistent all season (haven't lost more than 2 in a row) and have fought through a ton of injuries, and despite all of them, have been very successful in a MUCH tougher conference.

You honestly feel like the this current Lakers team without Kwame Brown and Lamar Odom is better than the Magic?

What I dont understand is why so many people complain about Kobe and his fouls but when Wade goes to the line 23 times like he did today, its okay because he "attacks" the basket. Not all those fouls today were hard earned fouls by WADE.. Some fouls were just as weak as the ones Kobe earned....

STOP THE DOUBLE STANDARDS. Kobe gets the fouls called, but so do many other SUPERSTARS. The game is over move on. Unless we can figure out something to make things FAIR, (which is highly unlikely) I would accept it as part of the game... Hate on everyone who gets easy calls if your going to get critical about it.

I said I expected Kobe to get his fouls (like all superstars do) and I just hated how the Magic weren't getting any calls. I don't use a double standard and I don't defend Wade's superstar calls either.

Oh gotcha. [IMG] But yeah, I expect superstars to get their calls. It's always going to happen whether you're watching LeBron, Wade, Kobe, or McGrady. It's just part of the game.

Even if they're not better, they can't be a whole lot worse. They've actually played well since each of them have gone down, going 4-2 without Kwame and 10-7 without Odom. If you ask me, that's a pretty damn respectable record for not having the second best player on your team. In that same time, you guys have gone 7-8 with your entire team in tact. And just a thought, all of those wins are against teams with sub-.500 records. Hell, three of those losses are against sub-.500 teams. Lakers, on the other hand, have wins against Dallas (arguably the leagues best team), Orlando (twice, and who you claim to be better), Denver, and Houston (twice). That's six quality wins compared to zero for you guys. That's pretty compelling evidence that we're a damn good team, even if we don't have Odom and Kwame right now.

Maybe if we had Stu Jackson and his crew on our side like you guys do, we would have a better record during that stretch.

[IMG]</div>Blaming the refs as always[IMG] Trust me, the Lakers have had some rough games. The win over Sacramento was not pleasently officiated, nor was the win over the Rockets where we managed to choke on a huge lead. Everyone gets screwed with officiating every once in a while, but it's the good teams that prevail despite it, just a thought.

It was a clean game in the 1st half, but the officiating was terrible in the second half. Dwight Howard's free throw shooting cost Orlando this game. He did a great job of drawing fouls, but missed 9 of 16 attempts.

One call I remember is when Arroyo gave Radman a slap to the face on his dribble and no call was made. Arroyo uses the stiffarm everytime the defender puts pressure on him.
