Payton and Malone are just 2 old guys barey making it up and down the court. Malone right now isnt on any court. Sure he has the record to go after but look at the season hes had!!!</div>
Do you even watch basketball or do you just like showing people what an idiot you are?

I dont get some people like that one who thinks that Lakers suck and comes to the Lakers forum. Go read some other stuff if you hate the Lakers. I hope that Kobe stays with the Lakers but it looks like he is leaving. The Lakers should focus on getting T-Mac if that is possible. Is that possible? Perhaps someone can answer that cause in Europe we cant hear much about basketball so sometimes i dont know what is going on. Thank god for this board.

I see alot people here that know some stuff so can someone tell me if Kobe leaves is it an option for the Lakers to get T-Mac?

They can try to sign T-Mac after next season.

yep he can opt out after next season...so if kobe leaves the lakers will be without a star guard for at least next season...unless Orlando trades T-Mac next season...but only way that will happen is if Dwight or Okafor are not enough and Hill breakes his ankle again...then they know they lose T-Mac after that season so they will probably trade with the lakers..but by then Kobe will be gone or be there...maybe if all that happens and Kobe decided to stay he could get traded for Kobe..

Yeah, it will be possible to get T-Mac if Kobe leaves. Matter fact, David Aldridge made a big article about it at the begenning of the season, saying that McGrady and Shaq are best friends, and that he could see it happening. He actually said it would be a sign and trade type thing, so Kobe could end up in Orlando if that was considered. Can't immagine Kobe in another uni though, I hope he stays.

I've been hearing all this controversy about Kobe's future, and him leaving the Lakers, and all the media surrounding this, but simply I leave all of this on three guys. Mitch Kupchak, Jerry Buss, and Kobe himself. I'm very confident that during the offseason whether the Lakers are champs or not, to make Kobe his number one priority, and find whatever money necessary to sign this guy long-term. I heard a report this morning that Kupchak himself said, Kobe isn't going anywhere, and that he wouldn't be traded. So I'm sticking to that. Jerry Buss himself has said he didn't want to see one of his "sons" leave. Wouldn't you think that he'd do all he can to watch Kobe play and finish his career in Los Angeles? And for Kobe Bryant....he insisted he wanted to be a Laker, he wanted to be a Laker for life, and he's been a Laker fan since he was six. Now I know all this drama has circulated that he wants to go and have his own team, but I'm sure he realizes if he goes, he'll turn out to be an exact replica of Tracy McGrady. A superstar player on a horrible basketball team. (No offense to Orlando.) And why would Kobe want to leave LA when he already has a foundation that's already set for him? Why go somewhere else where he'll have to learn a new enviornment, new players, a new system, and a new coach? Kobe is a smart businessman, and I feel in the summertime, he wil return to Los Angeles and continue his career as a Laker.
