<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Avery:</div><div class="quote_post">Now how in the world did Iverson get dragged into this? But since you mentioned him, I'll say this for the record as in Iverson and Kobe are basically equals but if anything Iverson would have the edge but just by a slight margin. I?d just thought I mention this, just to show you how much Kobe has been exposed this year, because it was just yesterday when we were saying how Kobe is on another level and is separated from the Iverson?s and McGrady?. Also because of the fact that you seem to take a shot at Iverson no apparent reason, hasn't there been enough hating on Iverson? Back to what I was saying... This year alone has exposed Kobe and this shows that he?s not Mr. Next Jordan after all, and while people will say it?s not fair to judge him because this is his first year and he is making an ?adjustment?, how come nobody gave Iverson any slack at all? But let me just say this, they're both exceptionally amazing in they're respected ways such as Kobe is much stronger, physical and can put a clamp down on his opponents more than Iverson can. On the other hand Iverson quickness and intestinal fortitude makes him the Shaq of the perimeter as in he can't be stopped alone unless if it?s a team effort. Well team effort or not, there is no slowing him down PERIOD. The Pistons which are arguably the best defense team in the NBA allowed him to have his best playoff game of his career (37 Points and 15 Assists). Alike Iverson, Kobe can?t be stopped as well but he can be slowed down, really slowed down for that matter. Prince demonstrated how he alone could take or on or more like frustrate Kobe, while a couple teams in the league have proven that they can slow him down, but that?s ONLY when it?s a team effort. So all in all, I don't see why the Iverson "shot" was called for, but that's you, but at the same time wasn't that really necessary? So I just thought I bring this up mainly so we can get back to discussing Kobe because the season Iverson is having I find it hard to hate on him while Kobe has put himself in the position to receive the criticism.</div> U got me wrong i named iverson as a guy who shoots a low % i believe hes in the 30's. I love AI hes one of my favorites so im not taking a shot at him at all. I was responding to bobcats whose talkin crap because of kobe's shooting % i just had to name a guy so he cud understand that there are other great players who dont shoot for such a high %.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting DMKfromTPL:</div><div class="quote_post">Funny, how is this an argument? Didnt the fellow who started this post ask for OPINIONS and VEIWS on Kobe Bryant's weakness's and strengths? .....? With that being said, ask me if i care what you think bout my "Arguments", cause as hard as ive tried to....i dont see much flavor in your post's, kerry. </div> Yea I think the argument started when someone challenged your post, but s'all good...

But 30's? Probabaly from the 3pt line, but overall he's in the 40's.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting og15:</div><div class="quote_post">Yea I think the argument started when someone challenged your post, but s'all good...</div> Again, maybe your not reading the same topic as i am or anyone else in this thread. The kid is asking for OPINIONS on Kobe's Strength's and Weakness's, Correct? Good. That being said, why would one challenge anothers OPINION when it was being asked for by the person who made the thread? .... Bottom line, like i said before. NO ARGUMENT, so get off it already fella. Thanks, and have a good day.
One strength I forgot to mention is Kobe's ability to learn. This might be his greatest strength. When Kobe first came into the league he didn't have any post game, and relied too, much on his athleticism to score. During the summer he perfected 2 go to moves to set up his drives. Then Kobe expanded his offense even more the following year by expanding his range to be deadly from behind-the-arc. Kobe also made an emphasis to improve on his defense and he became a 1st Team Defender. Kobe then beefed up two seasons ago to become more explosive and to prevent injuries. Unfortunately, he set himself back with the rape trial, but this summer Kobe will likely focus on a new aspect of his game....leadership. Kobe Bryant is a complete player physically, but now he will challenge himself and his teammates mentally, by becoming the leader of the Lakers. After he went down to injury, Kobe watched and learned he is not at his best when he has to dominate the ball. He watched the flow Odom created, and when Kobe came back he deferred more to Odom and trusted him and Butler more. Another setback took place when Rudy T quit, and the Lakers tried to bring back the Triangle Offense. The new players struggled with the Triangle, and then Odom went down with injury. During the last few games Kobe took the opportunity to tear down and build up his teammates. Caron Butler's late surge in the season was a result of Kobe giving him the confidence to be more aggressive and seek out his own shot. Kobe will take the entire summer to answer his critics who bashed him all season for not being a leader. This is a huge off-season for the Lakers, and a crossroads for Kobe. All season it has been Kobe v. the NBA world and he's taken a lot of heat. His legacy is in jeopardy, but do not underestimate Kobe's drive.
Very good point Shape, i do recall Bryant developing a decent left handed shot after injuring his right shoulder a few times.... Kobe always adds to his game, thats part of why the last few years Kobe's stats went up and shaquilles went down
