^ I'm on 690 AM Los Angeles. And I'm hearing word from the broadcasters that it's coming up shortly. Stay tuned.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">EAGLE, Colorado (CNN) -- A judge has dismissed the sexual assault charge against NBA star Kobe Bryant, the lawyer representing Bryant's accuser in a separate civil lawsuit said Wednesday. Attorney Lin Wood said the civil suit will continue. Wood, the deputy district attorney who is heading the prosecution and members of the basketball star's defense team met Wednesday with Judge Terry Ruckriegle. Prosecutors plan to hold a news conference at 7 p.m. ET.</div> http://www.cnn.com/2004/LAW/09/01/bryant.trial/index.html Its official.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Jesseca328:</div><div class="quote_post">Who said he raped her the evidence shows not rape, and everything shows to him not being guilty. I have no time to dispute the evidence with small minded person. </div> How am I being small minded? I haven't been convinced by anyone that he's not guilty. Actually, I've formed no opinion whatsoever on the matter, since I know nothing about the evidence brought up. Still, regardless of his guilt, I'd hope that he try extra hard in future not to commit rape. Wouldn't you agree? I frankly don't care if chooses to continue cheating on his wife after this. That's his business. Perhaps I'm being cynical in assuming that star athletes are predisposed towards sexually assaulting and taking advantage of vulnerable women. But I wouldn't call that being small-minded. Being out on the road away from their family, being hounded by young women, and having inflated egos due to their stardom can make a man do dangerous things.
Its official..as a Laker fan I have just breatehd a sigh of relief that was big enough to hear throughout California.. Now Kobe, if you ever read this, Do not cheat on your wife. She is a fine young lady, very beautiful and you make yourself look like a crazy sex fiend when you cheat on her. Get back into a basketball state of mind and shut up the Kobe/Laker haters next year.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting los:</div><div class="quote_post">But is it with or without prejudice?!?!</div> That's a good question. There's two different reports saying one and the other.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kobe 8 Ball:</div><div class="quote_post">Its official..as a Laker fan I have just breatehd a sigh of relief that was big enough to hear throughout California..</div> The Bay Area felt it homie, trust me. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kobe 8 Ball:</div><div class="quote_post">Now Kobe, if you ever read this, Do not cheat on your wife. Now with Kobe playing with a huge chip on his shoulder, he's very capable of being an MVP candidate next season.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Emo:</div><div class="quote_post">C'mon homie. Where's the evidence he even raped that woman? This is a thread where us Laker fans are celebrating Kobe is cleared of rape charges, and here you go bringing up negativity. We can look at Kobe as an adulterer no doubt, but don't use that rapist term on him when he hasn't even been charged of that crime.</div> Sorry to rain on your parade. To be clear, I didn't say Kobe was guilty and I never called him a "rapist." Nor can I celebrate in good conscience, when I don't know if he actually committed the crime or not. For all I know, he did commit rape and him being off the hook is a terrible failure in our justice system. But apparently, some of you are convinced that he's not guilty. Perhaps you've been keeping up with the evidence more than me, and you have good reason to have come to this conclusion.

You're claiming you're not calling him a rapist, but yet you're saying in this exact post that he committed rape? Make up your mind and stick to what you're believing in. Unbelieveable.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Undertakernv:</div><div class="quote_post">WWWWWOOOOO HOOOOOO!! Staples is down the street from me, I'm up for a celebration.</div> If I start walking now I'll be there by tomorrow night..so kepe that party going lol Now..people calling him a rapist still..I thought people were "Innocent until proven otherwise" So we have to treat him as an innocent man, the Presecuters obviously dont think they have a good case against him, or they have info we dont. If the chick refuses to testify, that pretty much should seal Kobe as innocent...so treat him like you would want to be treated in this situation..its that simple.

Do any of us know if he did or didn't do it for sure? No...so there wil always be a slight of speculation...I just pray to God that he didn't.

The charges have been dropped. Innocent until proven guilty. He's innocent because the prosecution couldn't even begin the trial. That is pretty damn innocent.
