He seems to hate losing but just won't ask for a trade whats keeping him from asking for a trade.

Rashard Lewis just became more available in a S&T with Seattle. I wouldn't offer Bynum for him and I don't think they'd want Lamar though...especially since they'll more than likely take Durant.

Rashard is an offensive update over Odom, but I'm not so sure about defense. How is his d?

Grant Hill to the Lakers: The Lakers will likely go through a serious offseason makeover, with the primary objective is improving the post play and the point guard position. If they can grab Hill at a minimum price, it would be an upgrade from Luke Walton, would allow someone else to create plays other than Kobe Bryant and would give Hill another legitimate shot at making a deep playoff run, which a class act like himself clearly deserves.</div>

I would welcome Grant Hill if he signed for the Vet's minimum. No way would I use any of the MLE to pay for him.

hey thats a good idea, hill is an expeirienced veteran who knows how to play good, even though he is old he can still do his thing, then we need to get mo williams or steve blake from the FA and a better center like magloire, haywood(he's not great but he is better than kwame), roy hibbert (aquire on draft day), bogut, JO, and i cant think of anymore but those centers are the one's i like for our team.

I don't think there is any truth behind this rumor. Almost every contender and the teams with huge media coverage have linked Grant Hill with their team. After talking with Grant, it seems like he wants to finish his career in Orlando. He really likes the rest of the guys on the team and I think he feels like he owes it to the team, city and fans after we paid him so much money and it backfired because of his injuries. I think he will finish his career with the Magic and right now I think he is determining whether or not he wants to play one more year in Orlando or retire and hit the broadcast booth.

Grant Hill has all the prerequisites for becoming our next MLE signing.

Even though he can be a great player, is adding someone whose history is injury? He'd have to be bought cheap then, because what we need is a big man first and a PG second.

I would welcome Hill, but I don't want to have to use the MLE on him. He's got some bit of risk behind him because you never know about the health of his knees. I just want the Lakers to get some upgrade in the post. We need some offense down there and Kwame doesn't cut it. We also are in dire need of fixing the point guard issue. Smush should be gone by all means and I don't think Farmar is ready to be the full time starter yet.

This is a bit off topic but the Grant Hill rumor reminded me of this. Whatever happened to the Scottie Pippen rumors?

Scottie owes $5Million to a plane company he invested in and the company went belly up. I'm not even sure the Lakers worked him out.

What ever happened to Penny Hardaway to the Lakers is what I'm curious about? He should still have some games left in him, and I can't imagine him being worse than the players the Lakers had in the backcourt last year.

I can get down with that A big PG would be great I think Penny has a few games left. But who would the Lakers rather take Penny or Hill. They both have their obvious good points and bad Penny's being has he got any game left and Hill's being will he mash up his legs again?
Off topic...will Shammond Williams be back next season?

I'd pass on Grant Hill. He has all the makings of our previous MLE busts. Old and injury prone, just like Aaron McKie and Vlade Divac. I'd take him for cheap, no question asked, but I'd much rather spend our MLE on a point guard, like Charlie Bell or Steve Blake

Oh my, I think I've heard all rumors now...

According to Dave Smith (who?)....Rumors are swirling in Portland that Kobe Bryant will be traded for Zach Randolph, this year's number 1 and next's.

    http://lakersground.net/viewtopic.php?t=42276

What a joke....This guys lost so much credibility that I can't even believe him when he says that Portland is also considering Zach Randolph for Kwame and a filler to save some cap room at the end of the year.

This whole Kobe getting traded thing isn't as far fetched as everyones talking. Look at ESPN.COM

"Bryant told ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher that he wants the Lakers to bring West back to the organization and give him full authority. If the Lakers don't want to do that, Bryant said he wants to be traded."

This is sensationalist journalism at it's best. Not once was Kobe quoted saying he wants out, if West isn't back in this article. He'd like West back, but I'm not even sure he can fix the Lakers problems overnight. Jerry West was great when there wasn't a salary cap to worry about. This is how he landed Shaq, the Lakers outbid Orlando for him, and West gambled and won with Kobe in the Divac trade.

Since he's been in Memphis, West hasn't done anything spectacular. He's always gone after the players the coaches want, but the Lakers are limited in what they can land.

I tend to believe what Kobe posted on his blog at KB24.com rather than BSPN. Trying to blow things out of proportion.

Would you guys be adverse to Kobe for Durant and Randolph? That would be your future and you're building like you did with Kobe and Shaq. Not to say Bynum is as well established as Shaq was when he came out, but if he is as untouchable as the reports say, why not?
