<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 15 2008, 12:23 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Um, no he wasn't. He was talking about how Kobe's segment with his family is entirely fake and staged. And I would like to know how he would come to such conclusions. Does he know Kobe's family? Does he know what Kobe does off the court?

"Now we're seeing the real Kobe Bryant."

What's the real Kobe Bryant? He hasn't said anything negative to the press after Game 4

Also, as for his trade demands this offseason, I didn't agree with the way he handled everything, although I had no problem with him demanding a trade. Kobe was just frustrated with the lack of direction on the team. When he resigned with the Lakers, the management promised to surround him with a championship calibure roster. Three years later, they're no where closer than they were before</div>
Yes, he was... imo. What would the beginning of the season antics have to do with Kobe's family? that was a separate point. I said the beginning of the season antics (I think he meant just before the season in the summer), which was about all the drama Kobe was making, demanding a trade, rescinding it, giving vague demands, on top of having a no-trade clause to really put the Lakers in a messed up position to try to trade them as it could only be to his few select locations.

Kobe's family piece I wasn't refering to. I didn't see the segment on Kobe's family. I have no clue if it looked fake and staged or not.

Maybe you should be a little objective instead of posting crap about how Kobe is fake around his entire family. And I was objective. I said I didn't like the way Kobe handled his demands over the summer, he definitely should have went about it another way. But like I said, I have no problem with Kobe demanding a trade based on everything that has happened before this season started

And Lava, my original post was basically directed at his comment about Kobe and his family.

He might be mad at them from time to time, but who isn't, when you want to win so much. Just like KG for example.</div>

Exactly. It's pretty much come natural that players will demand trades in the NBA. Only a very select few, such as Miller, Ewing, Stockton, RJ, etc. will want to stick with one team...no matter how bad they are.

So...you can't hate Kobe for demanding a trade. I'm sure Michael would've too, if his team sucked and the front office wasn't doing much to make it better.

Besides, the Celtics are made up of players with that mindset - Peirce, KG, Cassell...so I'm not sure it's okay for Celtics fans to be bringing up that BS argument.

    Jordan's worst Finals games are:
    Game 4 vs. Seattle, 1996 (LOSS): 6-19 (.316), 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 23 points (11-13 FTs)
    Game 6 vs. Seattle, 1996 (WIN): 5-19, (.263), 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 22 points
    Game 5 vs. Utah, 1998 (LOSS), 9-26 (.346), 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 28 points

Kobe's worst Finals games are: (I'm leaving out 99-00 season because he wasn't a superstar then)
    Game 1 vs. Philadelphia, 2001 (LOSS): 7-22 (.318), 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 15 points
    Game 3 vs. Detroit, 2003, (LOSS), 4-13 (.308), 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 11 points
    Game 4 vs. Detroit, 2003, (LOSS), 8-25, (.320), 0 rebounds, 2 assists, 20 points
    Game 4 vs. Boston, 2008, (LOSS), 6-19 (.316), 4 rebounds, 10 assists, 17 points.

Basically, if you want to compare this game to Jordan's worst games, Jordan has actually had worse games.
