Re: Kobe's stats for next year? <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (iversonfan268 @ May 21 2006, 09:02 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Yeah but think about it. That was Kobe's first year being the star of the team. that was shaqs role. He wasnt used to doing all the scoring yet like he was this year. His ppg did go up 8 ppg. Hes now coming off a year where they actually did have a winning season and that was the season he was the ballhog and did all the scoring. I think hell be the same way next year because oft he fact that hell want to win. I may not like Kobe but I do think he needs to be a ballhog for the Lakers to win, and I think he thinks that to. I doubt he'll averaging 6 apg again.</div>He averaged 5 assists per game this season as well. I doubt he'll average 35 PPG again, so maybe he probably will average another assist per game. Just because he doesnt get that many assists as LeBron does, doesn't mean he's not a good passer. He's a good passer, not even close to players like Steve Nash or Jason Kidd, but he's a similar passer to LeBron. And Kobe used to rack up about as many boards LeBron did. But remember, LeBron is a small forward, and 2 inches taller than Kobe, AND Michael Jordan. So it's natural he gets a little bit more boards then MJ and Kobe.
