No, they need to speed up and make a move because all of the possible deals are being sucked off the table by other general managers who are actually attempting to improve their teams.

This whole "be patient, you never know what's going to happen tomorrow" company line is beginning to wear a little thin to me. You'll have to excuse me if I'm not a lemming who thinks only good things will happen when only bad things have happened.

I'm a fan. I reserve the right to be pissed off and not just accept mediocrity. I also reserve the right to change course on a dime if KP actually does something.

that they've been saying they would be doing for the last two years since this crapspace has been earmarked.

No it is not for me. I'm very patient with KP but this is way to much. There were things he could have done to improve this team in the last year and he has passed. I thought he had something better planned for this summer. I know this summer isn't over yet and we will see what happens but everyone just going with lets be patient isn't seeing what really is happening. KP is blowing his biggest chance to improve this team.

So what should KP do to improve the team that he hasn't already tried?

All right, I see your point. But it sure makes for good reading and entertainment, that's why we keep coming back, right? :ghoti: I just don't mind the overreactions or emotional outbursts personally. Least it shows people care about this team.

I think it shows our fan base needs more Ritalin.

You certainly can, all my point was that it's a reflection of ones inpatients and in my opinion, short-sidedness.

Just like the kid has the right to scream, "You're the worst parents ever!" after a couple things don't go their way, despite the fact their parents have overall been nothing but great to them.

I didn't mean to question the rights of any Blazer fan, just point out the silliness of their reactions.

I think the problem has been that the team for the last two years has targeted this off season as the one where they are going to make a move that help the team get to the next level.

Really, they set expectations too high. Is it any surprise that people are bummed when reality sets in?

    I don't think so.

Even though there is a lot of off season left, the potential moves are growing smaller by the day.

I am still hopeful something good will come out of this off season.

But I think anyone would admit it sure doesn't look too good right now.

He should have signed Brandon Bass for 18 million over 4 years.

It is obvious he didn't try that, since that is what Bass signed for with the Magic.

If he wanted Hedo, he should have waived Outlaw so Portland had more money then anyone else to offer him.

    Yep.

It is true that the cap space MAY become more valuable over time, and of course we don't want KP to make a bad move... but c'mon. Orlando, in particular, has added pieces that would have dramatically improved the Blazers in the next few years.

I still love our team and see our window really opening 2-3 years from now, but the present inactivity is gnawing at me.

I know a lot of people won't agree but first we need to sign Bass for our backup PF and forget the stupid Millsap shit. Next we need to try and do a sign and trade if possible for an upgrade at PG. I'm not sure we can get this done but I will put my effort into findinag a PG upgrade and not worrying about KP's love for Blake. I like Miller, Conley, Harris, Felton and almost any other starting PG and some backups as a upgrade over Blake. We don't need to spend 10 million per year on a backup PF no matter how good he is and I love Millsap's game. Millsap can't even play center. I'm not a huge D.Lee fan but he makes a lot more sense then Millsap. At least Lee would be able to fill in for some backup center and backup PF.

Have they targeted this season for the last two years? I thought KP I believe said something like we've progress faster than we expected so we think now is the time to add a player or two?

Mediocrity? Really? With our record last year? Sure we lost in the first round, but how long has it been since we got there? We've made so much progress and even if we do nothing we'll improve this season. You call that mediocrity? If so give me mediocrity any time!
