Firing KP wont do anything other than slow up the process. I'm sure a new GM would like to stick with the guys he has to get a good feel for them. KP now has to do actual work instead of sitting in a cozy office watching video tape of Euro games and Blazer games. Oh, darn.
+1 I recorded the game because I went to a concert and when we were at dinner after the concert he was like "Oden is Out" I was like dont mess with me like that..... got home about 2am and started the game.... when it happened I didnt even care about the game anymore... I felt sooo bad for him.... Ive been reading comments and its hard to believe how selfish some people are... like he plans out his injury's or something, its sick.... I will always be a Oden fan and pulling for him, its a broken bone it will heal...
But it would potentially replace him with someone who will assemble a roster built around toughness and durability (i.e. defensive minded players) instead of a bunch of injury prone, finesse jump shooters. Oden isn't exactly the latter, but he certainly isn't the former, either. The medical staff needs to go first, of course.
Today KP said it's fair to say we can taper expectations but still expects to make the playoffs. Really? The primary backup PF is Cunningham The primary backup C is Howard The primary backup SF is usually a guard playing out of position. Watch KP do nothing with this roster and ride this one out because he's very tight with the guys. Awesome.
I'd think that the primary backup C is Aldridge. Unless they're in foul trouble, I'd expect to either Joel or LMA manning the C spot.
