Churchgoing was mentioned (separately) because of the humorous references to the house looking more Jewish than he is. His reputation as a big churchgoer is a source of much of his local support.

I find this hard to believe. Of all the cities I have lived in in my life, the great people of Portland are the least influenced by whether someone is a churchgoer. I guess there could be a handfull of people that do, but certainly not a significant number. As for the "lengthy, pompous biography" ............I am pretty sure the real-estate agents writes that.
It's stuff likk this that drives the players/coaches/management crazy. The fishbowl in this town is so small its suffocating. Having great fans is terrific, but this time of year and with stuff like this, it often gets out of control.

$3.6mill is not that bad for a house of that size and quality on Lake Oswego, with that view. Move that house South one state and it'd double in price.
