<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Avery:</div><div class="quote_post">That's exactly what we need. Sure 7-8 Points from him wouldn't be bad, but the 76ers are still scoring without him. So his defense would be better than his offense because the way things look right now the 76ers needs more defense than offense. And as far as that goes McKie defense is what should place him over the likes of Green and Salmons. Let?s face it, if we put Salmons/Green we would most likely be getting more offense than defense, and with this very lackadaisical defensive team, McKie should be getting more minutes.</div> Ya I guess he can be our little person to do the dirty work. I still think he should be able to hit the open shots though. Offensive line-up C- Marc JAckson PF- Kenny Thomas SF- Kyle Korver SG-Willie Green PG-Allen Iverson Defensive Line-up C- Sam Dalembert PF- Corliss Williamson(his defense is good, dont know about this though) SF- Andre Igoudala SG- Aaron McKie PG-Allen IVerson So really I think we have all kinds of players for different things. The only player IMO that is on both is AI. I guess McKie isn't as bad as I though. Missing that open jumper consecutive times though and there is no reason to get payed millions of dollars and miss those shots. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Mckie 2000-01 minutes per game 31.5. Mckie 2004-05 minutes per game 12.5 I think his decreased minutes and injuries have been a big reason why he is not as prolific a scorer as he was in the 2000-01 season. if he stillw as able to average 31.5 minutes a game and finish the season having played a total a 76 games that year without his body breakign down and not being ready for the playoffs think he would still be a top runner for sixth man of the year. By the way Salmons is averaging 4 more points then Mckie, but has also avraged 20.4 minutes this year compared to mckies 12 minutes a game. He has also made 72 field goal attempts compared to Mckie's 21.</div> If Jim O brien thinks that he can play 31.5 minutes go ahead. The thing is that Aaron MCkie is unable to play 31.5 mintues each game for 76 games. That is an advantage John Salmons has on Aaron. Age and Stamina, No use to blame it on injury as that is a reason that John Salmons is better in my eye. John Salmons plays defense, its just not as good as McKies. It's still good though. Maybe Aaron could average 12 points per game if he played 31.5 MPG, but the thing is HES NOT.

Yet he only averages 4 more points in htose 8 minutes of play, and a reason you can not gt down on Mckie because of his scoring out put is he has only attempted 21 field goals alls eason compared to Salmons 71. I think that until he proves he can play better defense than Mckie and I mean BETTER not just decent defense, but not up to Mckies caliber then Mckie should be the back up because in more time Salmons does not put out much more on the offensive end then Mckie and does not shoot that much better either at just 41%.
