Los Angeles Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak still believes his team has the nucleus of a potential NBA champion.

"We believe in this group," Kupchak said. "Prior to the lockout there was a month or two where you could make trades, and obviously we didn't do anything. We like the group.

"There's a couple of holes … so we have to fill in and shore up our depth chart a little bit. [Coach]Mike [Brown] made some comments before the lockout that he thought this team could win [a championship], and we feel the same."

if Shannon walks.. i'd like to see us sign either afflalo or delonte (as long as he keeps his sh*t in his pants)

with the amount of teams interested in afflalo its likely we'll see his stock rise higher, the only way we'd get him is with a sign and trade with the nuggets ( i think thats right).

anyway fisher needs to be benched, and we need a starting point guard that will run P&R with pau and bynum. also they need to be able to shoot the 3, thats pretty much all we need from them, maybe some D would be nice though. also meta world peace (ron ron) has slowed down so much that he's not anywhere near the player he once was. lakers need to stop living in the past and correct these issues so that they continue to win in the future.
