Well, the ramble left little room for anything else. Perhaps you could paint with some calm and clarity.

I wanted to have the address on my license changed. I had to go in to get a photo taken. I was able to pay my $500 vehicle registration online, though. Of course they make it easy as they can to collect money. The assholes are now taxing an additional $100 for our electric car.
Just saying, the "Make Trump Kittens Again" Chrome browser extension is the best thing ever. Makes this entire OT section so much more pleasant to visit. When @CupWizier posts whatever picture he posted about Trump and Kushner, this is what I see: I have to wonder though--if this is Trump and Kushner, which one is black?
Say what? He described the experience very very well. My wife and I have had the exact same experience.
Don't you know why they tax electric cars? Geez, I thought it was particularly obvious. Electric vehicles add wear and tear to the roads but pay no gas tax. Hence the rather obvious electric vehicle tax. I would guess this accounts for the $600 in fees and taxes. I'll bet we pay more than that even driving our fairly small Toyota. Did you want the rest of us to pay for your wear and tear on the roads?
It took me two hours and all I brought was my old driver's license. Of course, the first renewal after the new law I did need to provide a copy of my birth certificate (passport works too). After that, all I needed was my previous license.
I see the reasoning, but why should someone who drives 500 miles a year with an electric car be taxed the same amount as someone who drives 30000 miles a year with an electric car?
Spot on! I wanted to get a golf cart street legal to drive from home to the boat harbor. Costs way too much.
It’s pretty simple I guess, just tax for it depending on miles travelled at the end of the year. Tie it directly to the gas tax factoring in average gas vehicle mpg by weight class or something.
But Freedom... if they know how much you drive, they'll be able to come take your guns. It's a slippery slope, you see. barfo
LOL Way to encourage people to use environment friendly vehicles! The assholes already charge 41.7 cents per gallon tax, at the pump. To pay for the wear and tear on the roads.
