<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (LakersFan247 @ Jun 2 2007, 05:36 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Sure they would... a trade of Marion, Amare, a filler, and a future first round pick for Kobe and our first rounder. That's what I have been reading on all the possible deals with the Suns. But seriously, Kobe will never be traded to The Suns...it doesn't matter.</div>lol, no way the trade you're suggesting goes down.A) What filler? The salaries are already unbalanced the wrong way. I assume you mean the Lakers send a filler. Who in their right mind would trade Amare, Marion, and a pick for Kobe? You might as well say "well, you're the lakers so we'll give you a better deal than you'll feasibly get from anybody so that you guys can rebuild your storied franchise". Amare is the future of the franchise, will be an allstar for the next 10 years, and the only way they'd trade him would be if it would win them a championship.C) Where is what you have been reading on this, because all deals with the suns I've seen revolve around Marion and Barbosa.
Yeah, I don't know what you guys are smoking to think you've got the leverage to get Amare, Nash, or Dirk. Howard would be feasible, if it weren't for the fact that Cuban won't trade him. Even if we (us or PHX) were in another conference, no way in a cold, dark hell you would get any of those three.edit: I don't think Denver's trading with y'all, either.
The Lakers arent going to get anything from a team that is improving/making the playoffs. Basicly the Lakers have nothing to offer except for Odom, a overrated Bynum and some garbage players..and of course picks. Yall might be able to steal a J O'Neal...but no way in hell are yall getting Marion, Nash, Howard, Dirk, Gasol, Boozer, or Brand. If yall are lucky, yall might be able to nab Kirilenko..but I doubt that cause why would Utah trade to another Western Conference team? Yalls best bet is J Oneal and maybe KG(which I doubt also)...so just stop these stupid ass rumors...its not going to happen.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Then come back with a Farmar and Walton to the Kings for Artest</div>Right, with Farmar on his rookie contract and Walton entering free agency this summer. They'll be able to pull it off for Artest. What!? Why would Kings even think of a sign and trade where they would take a signed Walton close to Artest's contract, considering Farmar is just filler?
I would not understand this.kwame brown is actually one million more than camby, but kwame is an expiring contract after this season while camby still has 2 more after it.so if they're gonna do it then atleast do it near trade-deadline, because this makes their team worse and takes up more cap...
BTW Marcus Camby's agent said on ESPN radio that Camby wouldn't mind playing for the Lakers. Not sure if that means anything.
It has to be some sort of ploy by the Lakers (as mentioned previously) to see if they can get Indiana to blink, though I don't know why anyone would think of Kwame Brown as a deal breaker.http://www.denverpost.com/nuggets/ci_6048315<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Word is the Nuggets laughed at the Lakers last week when they called dangling butter-fingered big man Kwame Brown for Marcus Camby.</div>
This would be a fantastic trade for L.A. A defensive presence like that is hard to come by. Camby is avery talented defensivley. He can score too. I don't see Denver pulling the trigger without something else though. You don't trade the defensive player of the year without getting more than just Kwame Brown I would assume.
This rumor was coming from LA's side only. I posted on another site an excerpt from an article saying that once the Nuggets heard about this proposal they laughed. I would get it, but, I'm lazy. The only reason I would see the Nuggets doing this deal is to get Kwame's expirng, which still wouldn't set them above cap I think. Other than that, there is no point in messing up your team which seems to be heading in the right direction towards being possible contenders.

Also, Marcus Camby's agent said Camby wouldn't mind playing for the Lakers, so I don't know.

Kwame tons of potential? Haha. I think people have used up the "potential" excuse for Kwame enough. His potential has run out. Kwame takes more balls to the face than Elton John.

Kwame bashing aside. You'd be supprised at what can happen to players in a couple of years. Also, with our luck, Camby will sit on the injured list for 79 games if he came to LA.
