http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/artic...-2005Jan18.html Kwame's injury is apparently more serious than expected. I'm beginning to doubt that we're going to see him back this season. How this affects us signing him to a new contract is yet to be seen, it could make it easier or harder for us. What a mess.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MuZzA1823:</div><div class="quote_post">he is junk u dont want him and his mess back</div> He is obviously better than you, don't call someone junk when your own skills don't compare. This is unfortunate for Kwame, he really bulked up...he hit 273, most of it muscle and is now 7'0. He had an awesome offseason until he broke his foot, and that really hurt him. He was hitting down Jumpers and everything. He was destined for a great year, but suffered a horrible injury. How will this effect his contract? Don't expect to see him back in Washington next year. They are winning without him, they have Jared Jeffries who has played some great d, and Etan Thomas, who is good enough. Expect him to be in a new uniform next year, and to put up allstar numbers knowing the Wizards luck.

I'm sick of getting nothing when we lose players.

I love Kwame. Just because he was picked number 1, people have been all over him. He has an enourmous amount of potential, and can breakout any time now. He's got skills, not like KG, but he has them. Just one question, is he really 7 feet now?..or really something like 6'11 and 1/2. Also, I don't see him much, but can he play center in the NBA. He's got the athleticsm, although to me he's more suited for the PF. Players 7 Feet tall and 270 pounds of mostly muscle with Skills, are very hard to come by.
Kwame is almost 7'1 now, he's 7'0 1/2, and is at about 270-280 lbs, so he's huge, he just has too many skills to be neglected, and he's a very good man to man defender, but these injuries are becoming a bother. If he can come back fully healthy near the end of the year, and get worked back in, towards the playoffs, the Wizards who could drop to about 7th because of the injuries can give the 2nd place team [Detroit?] a big run for their money.
When Kwame came back, he had to defend Shaq. He is the only person I have seen this year hold their ground against Shaq. In his minutes against Shaq, I beleve Shaq went 1-4. Struggled mightily, that shows how much of a force he can be because he is big. I just want to see him healthy and get back into the rotation...
