lowry would be a MASSIVE upgrade over the garbage felton gave us last year, but i'm still hoping for something a little better. the more i ponder it though, he wouldn't be bad as the blazers next pg, assuming we didn't have to give up too much to get him.

But anything is an upgrade over what Felton did the first half of last season. He was awful. Is Lowry a big upgrade over what Felton was giving us in the second half of last season, and after we got rid of Nate? Not a ton. He is better. I don't think at the cost of a lotto pick it's at all worth it, though.

...Lowry would be the best PG to play on the Blazers since Rod Strickland. FWIW

i agree ... #11, especially after he's let it be known that he doesn't want to play for McHale, is too much to give up.

...no, not with the rate at which most PG's develop in the NBA [same age as LMA too]. Lowry vs. Damian Lillard :dunno:

Yeah, but kind of like that first colonoscopy, you keep putting it off in hopes that some other option will arise.

I'd welcome Lowry with open arms. He's a dynamic PG. Either Rocket option would be nice.

I'd rather take 2 swings in the draft and risk whiffing on a top tioer player than settle for mediocrity....#11 for Lowry? meh....It makes the team marginally better, still going nowhere though....#6 for Lowry, no fucking way....

11 for lowry and i'd be disappointed, but if we could pkg nolan, and 2nd for lowry then why the hell not? hell, i'd even give up elliot if it meant not giving up a lottery pick.

Lowry is worth the 11th pick if you ask me. He was killin' it on the court this season before he got sick. Can't remember his averages, but I know he was lighting teams up!

A.) Rockets would never do that.

B.) No GM in the NBA agrees that Eliotts worth giving up a lottery pick for.

Lowry was in the All-Star conversation earlier in the year. If the Rockets were dumb enough to keep Dragic and trade him, I'd trade the #6 pick for Lowry without a 2nd thought.

I'd be one pissed of Trail Blazer fan if we gave up the 11th pick for Lowry! He isnt worth a lotto pick IMO.
I think we'll get better offers for the pick.

Dear Lord. Why on earth would you not think trading a low lottery pick for an all-star quality PG isn't worth it?

I am also amazed that this would piss you off, but the lack asinine way our front office is handling the GM and coaching search doesn't piss you off as a Blazer fan

that's fine if they don't do that deal but that's what i'd give up for him. i wouldn't trade either of lottery picks. again, his value is hurt by his comments to the press that he doesn't want to be there.

Lowry is not worth the #6 pick, this is the kind of trade inept mgmt would do...trade a pick that has the potential to be a top tier player for a player (Lowry) who makes your team marginally better and WORSE when you have the available cap space to sign a similiar type of PG (Dragic\Hill) at NO OTHER ADDED COST (ie picks\players). I cannot emphasize enough how dumb dumb dumb that would be....

Let me reiterate...You don't trade away assets for a player when you could essentially sign a similiar type player WITHOUT having to give away ANY assets....

The ONLY way you would consider such a deal is if the player coming back was WELL above what you could hope to sign and a legitimate star in his own right ...a guy like Rondo for example...

At #11, yeah...maybe...I would not prefer it, but I would uunderstand it....but at #6 that is just asinine....

I seriously hope PR mgmt is not as short sighted as many fans here are....

I like that you think of me as something that is both necessary, but also good for longevity

Sure we COULD sign Dragic--if he chose to come here, and if we paid him more than anyone else offered. Or if we traded for Lowry, we'd be guaranteed to have him here, and we'd still have most of our cap space.

No matter how adamant you may be, it's not as simple as you try to make it sound.
