Man, what happened? I got back from work with 3 seconds left, just enough time to see Kobe take the last shot. I think Kobe needs to start letting his teammates take the shots, he's to predictable, Cav's even threw 3 bodies on him. "Kobe is going to beat someones ass in the lockeroom that's for sure. I think it's Walton." LOL
They Called The Foul On Murray When Kobe Barely Touched Him But When Kobe Gets Beaten Up By Two Of The Cavs, The Ref Turns A Blind Eye And Awards A Technical.
You know alot of people talk abot the differences with Kobe and lebron in crunch time, but the thing about lebron is, he knows when to pass up the ball. Kobe had 3 guys on him and he was about 22 feet from the basket, meaning he had a bunch of his teamates open. Being clutch is also knowing when to pass up for a better shot.
Im not one who ever likes to complain about officiating, but I'm with you guys, that was piss poor and inconsistent officiating we saw today. Odom got hammered on that 2nd of last Laker posession but no call because refs like to make players earn points 'late' in the game....which is pretty standard .... then Flip Murray trips on himself while Kobe slaps at all ball and it's a foul with 4 seconds left? Luke should've called Timeout as well, I think that's what Kobe was signaling at the end...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Avery:</div><div class="quote_post">Kobe is going to beat someones ass in the lockeroom that's for sure. I think it's Walton. If you're talking about the last second shots. Well the one against the Nets Carter defended Kobe perfectly. The shot just a couple minutes ago, I didn't see any contact just a lot of crowding that's all. I could be wrong I would have to see it again, but I know for sure the defensive job Carter did on Kobe was excellent.</div> What the hell is ur point? The refs had nothing to do with this? And Vince Carters game is history, why bring it up? Phil Jackson or Lakers management need to talk to someone in charge of these damn refs. Just because you players cant stop him doesnt mean the whistle can.

It was near the damn half court line for Christ's sake. Why the hell would you throw him the ball there with onl;y 3.4 seconds left? No one seemed to move on the last play either, it was Kobe vs. 5. I do agree though, the Nets played excellent D on Kobe. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Laker_fan:</div><div class="quote_post">SOB Refs. Phil and the staff should make a little compilation of the errors in this game, particular the 4th quarter and the previous games and file a complaint to David Sterns head office. It's unacceptable.

On a happier note, Lamar Odom is BRINGING IT this second half of the season. I am very happy with his play, but since it isn't making a difference on our record, I'm still up for trading him, but now teams will feel more comfortable acquiring him. Didn't mean to change the subject, I'm just impressed how he is playing lately, OMG he's playing CONSISTENT!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Laker_fan:</div><div class="quote_post">SOB Refs. I was pretty darn disappointed in Smush's defense as well today ... he was getting smoked there at the end...
It's really ridiculious how Kobe gets mugged like that in the 2nd half and the refs don't call any fouls. The time where he got called for the OT, was atleast the 3rd incident in the half where Kobe had gotten mugged by the Cavs players. Then in the last seconds Odom doesn't get the foul, but Kobe gets called for the foul on Flip? On the last play, Kobe was so far out, near the half court line with 3+ seconds left, and Walton doesn't call a time out, which is baffling. Obviously if you give him the ball there, with 2 guys on him, and 3 seconds left, he's not going to get a very high percentage shot.

The refs didn't award Kobe any free throws, they skipped on Lamar's free throw trip near the end of the game, because players have to win the game on a basket, not free throws. If the refs would have called half of the fouls against Bryant, we would have easily won that game by at least 8 points. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Laker_fan:</div><div class="quote_post">They Called The Foul On Murray When Kobe Barely Touched Him But When Kobe Gets Beaten Up By Two Of The Cavs, The Ref Turns A Blind Eye And Awards A Technical.</div> Bryant didn't even tough Murray, that was all ball. Don't try and tell me that LeBron is better in the clutch than Kobe, that's just makes you look ignorant. LeBron is the definition of the anti-clutch, Flip Murray and the refs won the game for the Cavs, not LeBron. Flip had 13 4th quarter points, he was the key for the Cavs, once again, not LeBron.

I think we were shocked by the constant poor decisions and never managed to make pace again back on our side of the court. Great game there by Odom, I think he should have had a quick drive at a layup there instead of a Kobe jumper. The Cavs knew that they could do what ever they wanted to do to Kobe on that last possesion because nothing was going to be called.
Trade Odom? I am pretty sure General Manager Kobe Bryant will keep him for a while! Trade that kid Bynum plzz

He's the anti-clutch, along with LeBron. If you want to intentionally lose a game, make sure you have those two players on your team. Luke has done so many things to screw up the Lakers on their final possession in game winning situations, he's horrible. I don't know why Phil leaves him in the game for the final possesion.
No doubt that was BS officiating. I thought Kobe was going to punch somebody in the face eventually, you can tell he was holding in a lot of anger.

Go LeBron. To bad it wasn't a game winner and the Lakers tied it, Flip hit the game winner. Did we also forget about LeBron's easy missed shot against the Lakers earlier this year? Or his horrible FT shooting in the 4th quarter, or his passing up of a wide open three point shot to a covered man because he was to nervous to shoot? Yeah, LeBron's real F'n clutch.
