Was it purposely thrown on his lap?</div> I have no idea if he did it purposely or not. I just saw them arguing after the fact. AllNet, I don't think Webber had any intentions of signing with the Lakers, which is why he requested to be a starter if the team signed him. He knew no team would grant him that, and probably used LA to get a better deal for himself in Detroit, or to get another team to up their anty on him.
