great game, but i dont think atkins should throw up too many 3s wen hes struggling, lakers still need to improve reboundin..clips took 92 shots wen lakers took 76, in alot of games, teams are taking atleast 10 more shots than the lakers do, great great game by kobe tho, 11 assists, 5 steals, awesome

A Good Win for the Battle of the LA Teams.

I Suspected the Lakers would win over the clippers, not because they have Kobe and all,but just for the fact that the Lakers have in my opinion a little more depth, and th fact that this was a big game for them since there playing the other LA Team.they had to win,and they did.

The Clippers have a good young team, and they should be commened in their effort against the Lakers.

I'm glad my prediction was off. Way off, in fact.

Talk about 23 points, 9-16 shooting, 11 dimes, 6 boards, perfect (5-5) free-throw shooting, 5 steals, and 2 blocked shots from Mr. Bryant. Five players from the Lakers in double digits with points. Impressive.

Obviously we will not play this good every night, but it was definitly a good sign that we could play like this. Lets hope the Lakers stay consistant and Mr. Bryant keeps up the good performance.

I realize this is just one game, but as a Laker fan I think I have the right to be satisfied with the way we played, and maybe a little extra-hyped.

Oh.. and Jesseca, please post the video of the dunk, i'm anxious to see it - I couldn't watch the game, had Basketball practice to attend to and car service to do, if ya know what I mean.

if u watch the replay you'll notice that immediatly after the steal the ball never touched the floor! talk about minizing your dribble!

This was the best TEAM basketball the Lakers played so far this season. They had a balanced attack and rotated well on defense for all 4 quarters. EFFICIENCY was led by Kobe's 11 assists and scoring 23 points on just 16 shots, while shooting 56% from the field and electrifying the crowd with an alley oop from Chucky Atkins. It was great to see six Lakers score in double digits and shooting over 50% from the field against the Clippers.

One player I was very impressed with was Brian Cook. He seemed to be in on every play and made his open looks inside and out. The back to back sequence when he took a charge by CMags (eventhough there was a no call) and then one from Bobby Simmons reminded me a lot of Robert Horry. I'd love to see Cook fill the void Horry left on the Lakers by making the hustle plays and hitting clutch 3pt shots.

Now its just up to the team to get more consistent. If they can do this more often, the Lakers will be a hard team to beat.

Hoho you're right there... [IMG] it looked like basic basketball drill... too bad that Clipper (who is he?) was involved in our little practice and he got dunked on too.
