Yeah, I agree. Shitty ideas don't automatically equal trolling. Maybe I'm naive on it, but he's of the opinion we need to improve our defense, and feels that'd be the step to get us there. I think the trade is god awful, and said as much. But, how is that trolling, but then suggesting trading Aldridge for picks because we're stuck in mediocrity isn't?

No action was taken. We didn't close or delete the thread. And actually we deleted insults that were directed at him. People have unpopular opinions or ideas all the time and forums are great places to express them. But when that person over and over and over keeps making threads that seem that they are designed to inflame people that's where the problem is. Luckily people who exhibit this type of behavior also tend to be the ones who can't stop with the fucking personal insults so we have more concrete reasons for stopping their disruption of the forum.

I didn't delete that thread, but I deleted his thread about "_amian Lillar_"

It's cool. Just asking for clarity. I didn't realize he'd been making multiple unpopular threads that may appear to be intended to enrage people. I haven't paid much attention to the basketball side of the forum of late (for obvious reasons), so I didn't realize this was a consistent behavior.

But even then, you called it trolling. Mixum was constantly trolling. I don't think I ever felt like cmeese was genuinely attempting to troll. He just had unpopular ideas, and it's not his fault other posters made unnecessary responses.

I'm just telling you what I thought, think, feel. But even having my personal opinions on what he was posting I still tried to treat him fairly.

Sly, I hardly know you. Let's not get so intimate, so soon.

WWE is to sports what RC2 is to sports forums.

Really? I think cmeese is definitely trolling with purposefully unpopular ideas. He seems to be intelligent enough to know that his unpopular trade ideas are stupid, because the players we would be trading have far more value than the counterpart we'd be receiving back. I think BGD has genuinely bad, unpopular ideas - he's not trolling, he just has terrible ideas.

Yeah, you'll get plenty of that from some people.

Really? Like, did you miss the entire first paragraph where I acknowledged I may have missed several if his posts so I was out of the loop (as I hadn't been reading through threads as often on the basketball side). Kinda changes my entire post around when you cut that piece out.

For the record, until Damian improves his defense, that will always be a big weakness for the Blazers. But his poor defense isn't a reason to trade him.

Sorry - I didn't have any ill intentions towards your post or opinion. I just zeroed in on the part I wanted to respond to in order to explain how two very similar types of posts can be taken in two very different ways based on who is posting them.

It's cool. It just sounded like you were shocked I hadn't noticed cmeese's style when I'd already acknowledged I've become less and less interested in the board and hadn't followed him closely. It sounds like the body of his work was a distraction, not just the few posts I read by themselves.
