The term African American is offensive. There's not a black person on the planet that will be offended if you say black. That is what we want to be called. Yes, I will go ahead and speak for my entire race on this one.
Offensive? Not sure I completely agree with that due to this form, however the US Census form does affirm your notation for the group "black" is an applicable choice. Interesting they don't break out the white race types like they do the black ones. Perhaps it should? Or are African Americans and Negros black? I think this is stupid. You can just see people getting together in a board room saying, "Hey, let's put a black person on a coin, oh and we can have it be a woman to boot". What's next, a Caitlyn Jenner coin so we can have a transgender person on a coin? Fuck this shit, seriously. If they really wanted to have a black person on a coin, why not put Barak Obama on there? At least there would be a legit reason since he was a PRESIDENT.
