Agreed that Bynum looked awful - and travelled on his one decent post move of the game - but our whole team took the last 3 quarters off. We had complete control up 9 when Martell missed back-to-back wide open threes that could have really blown the game open. When Martell's shot isn't falling, his defense drops off - and he proceeded to leave Artest open 3 straight times at the close of the half. Just a terrible performance all around, but by Webster in particular.

I was at the game tonight, my first Laker game mind you. The team played like shit, no other way to put it. The only person to drive into the paint was bayless, everyone else sat around taking jumpers. Too many wasted 3 point attempts, not enough hustle, and why in the fuck is Steve Blake on our team?????????:smack:

Oh yeah, FUCK Nate McMillan too........it's time for you to go dude!

Well, after a game like this, what else can you pull out of it other than, "I would have rather watched Jersey Shore than see the Blazers play like that?"

Nothing is ever that bad. As for the game the only positive is that it's over.

Well, according to you it wasn't as bad as Jersey Shore, so that's a positive.

Just got home from the game... *sigh* I wish LaMarcus and Martell would not have played like crap tonight. Odom was a BEAST. And I NEVER wanna hear Laker fans say "Its only a regular season game" while downplaying a loss in the Rose Garden... they were celebrating like they won the title in there lol. Oh well. Sat by a couple classy Laker fans and had a good time talking with them. Unfortunately there were 2 annoying ass 15 year old Laker fan girls below us which got old real quick. Oh well, congrats Lakers.. you guys kicked our asses tonight.

    What was the entertainment?

And good game to Portland. I certainly didn't expect this, Pau still plays like a little bitch.

I HATE this era's of Power Forwards.

I miss the days where they didn't step out for jump shots and went straight at their defenders chest in the paint.

    THANK YOU!

I've been barking for a good, STRONG, physical back to the basket low post presence, who cared so much about the defensive end as much as they do on the offensive end.

I really don't like these lanky power forwards who think they are shooters rather than big men.

And to Wheels, you only liked the halftime entertainment cause you want her "flexibility" in bed :tsktsk:

She is the best half time show far and away.

And yes it's because her flexibility is freaking hot as hell.

There was no lineup that could have saved Portland tonight.

I know this because Nate tried nearly every single possible lineup during the game and all of them failed.

I am no Nate fan but this loss is not on him.

When Blake plays the best out of all of the guards on the team Portland is well fucked.

I was actually hoping Kobe would go so that he could take 37 shots again. Unfortunately he didn't play so LA went inside against Portland's pathetic interior defense. It worked for Utah and it worked for LA.

Get used to seeing that kind of inside punishing for the rest of the season.

I am not even going to blame the interior players. They simply are not capable of the kind of physical defense Portland needs right now.

I just don't see how Nate can coach soft power forward into a physical center. If a dude doesn't have it what can Nate do?

Actually the thing that bust me up is all the comments from various Blazers about why the Lakers won the game last night. Most of it is all some bullshit that they played "Like Champions". No the fact of the matter is, the Lakers tried to give them that game in many stretches and the Blazers stunk it away by being soft and not attacking the rim. That is the problem with having players who are not so good. Good players show up for a majority of the games and run like a machine. Bad players you never know what you are going to get from them on a night to night basis. Is it a Rudy 25 point night or a 5 point night tonight? Is it Bayless with 1 point at the half or 14 points at the half? Is it Miller with a 52 point game or a 9 point game? Is it Aldridge with 14 rebounds or 4 rebounds? Is Webster totally on fire, or is he launching air balls again? In a warped version of forest gumps famous words, the Blazers are like a box of choclates. Each night you never know what your going to get. Last night we got a choclate filled with shit. I hope the next one is better.
