dont like him much. he is tall, yes, but i think he will just be another tall stiff like shawn bradley. he isnt very athletic or quick and is too weak and skinny. he will be pushed around a lot in the nba.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">Davis is a Divac type player? Please explain.

If Utah doesn't make the playoffs it would be justified for them to blow the team apart and rebuild. Chris Mihm gives them a cheap, servicable center and unloading Boozer's contract is definitely step 1 in rebuilding in Utah.

Boozer's agent, Rob Pelinka has been trying to push for his client to be traded out of Utah. He would like nothing more than to pair Boozer with his other client, Kobe Bryant here in Los Angeles.

Boozer was close to being a Laker last year, remember the whole Jack Haley fiasco? I wouldn't rule him out of being traded.</div>

Paul Davis is a big man that can rebound and hit the 15 foot shot for a living in the NBA much like Vlade Divac did. Just he isn't the same flashy player as Vlade.

Why would you blow apart a team that is doing good when they're completely healthy? All they need is a SG that can shoot, maybe if Gircek can comeback and be that for Utah, they're a playoff contender. Injuries have doomed Utah all year, if they can be healthy, they're dangerous. Boozer is starting to get hang of Utah's system so don't expect him to leave [IMG]

    NBA Comparison: Steve Kerr

Strengths: Lights out 3 point shooter with excellent range ... One of the top scorers on the college level (top scorer in the Big East conference as a junior at 24 ppg) ... Has a great feel for the offensive game ... Effortless release on his shot ... Excellent free throw shooter ... His game has shown steady improvement ... Has gotten stronger body wise but still lacks bulk and body strength ... Has become adept at anticipating passes and making steals ... Very streaky shooter, when he gets hot he is deadly ... Proved in his sophomore year that he has the ability to protect the ball and be a distributor (as his 2/1 A/TO ratio shows) ... Has a good ability to create shots for himself with deft ball handling ability ...

Weaknesses: Lacks an NBA body, his frame wont allow him to put on much weight ... Not a true point guard, so he is a small 2 guard ... Will be limited to being a scoring role player in the NBA ... He'll be a defensive liability on the next level due to his size and strength ... Not a great passer, but decent ... Not an explosive athlete but has good quickness ... A bit one dimensional has a hard time contributing when he's not scoring ...

from what i heard he is a great offensive player. i dont know much about him, but since everyone is so sick of sasha, we could give him a try. i have no idea when he will go in the draft, but if he is still available in the 2nd round, i think we should take him.

Vlade Divac was a finesse player and was a superior passer than Paul Davis. Their games aren't similar at all. Paul Davis is more athletic and is a power player.

Why would the Jazz blow up their team? Simple answer MONEY. The Jazz have $31Million invested in just 3 players, yet this team can't make the playoffs. Down the line this number increases to $32M in 2007 and $34M in 2008. The Jazz are going to need cap space to extend Deron Williams, he's going to demand between $9M or $10M after his rookie contract expires.

In order for the Jazz to extend Deron and still have cap space to field a competive roster one of those 3 need to be traded.

If the Jazz make the playoffs this year, then they can afford to wait another season, but if they miss them again I expect Boozer to be dealt in the offseason.

How about that M Bah A Moute guy from UCLA????
He played sensationally against a premier team in LSU, and I think he would be a very great addition to the Lakers.
