Does your community college have a guarantee program? Something like when you get a 2.8 GPA and meet some requirements, you get to go to a select group of schools?
It is a statewide thing, I believe. If you maintain a 2.0 and meet all the requirements, you should be able to transfer into the CSU system.

You should speak with your counselor. Sometimes the requirements change each semester so you need to constantly be on top of it. I got screwed one semester when I was applying to UC Berkley. They changed their program and a lot of courses I took weren't recognized anymore so I had to make up for it and do a 30 unit semester at JC. Hopefully they've made it more efficient since I attended, but that's something to speak to your counselor about. It also doesn't hurt to make contact with a counselor at the school you want to transfer to and find out how to get in without getting screwed.
