Just got back from Frisco, didn't get a chance to go to that chinese restaurant you recommended Shape, but I did eat some yummy food while I was there. Ate at Skates in Berkeley (or Rockridge I forget), and that was fuckin delish. Ate at Bistro Boudin down by the Wharf today. Had Crepevine and Augustine's Louisiana's Kitchen as well (both in Berkeley). Wish I spent more time on this trip to eat more....eating is my favorite part of any trip.
I have no voice this morning, a headache and pains in my neck. Gah, the joys of concerts. However..all of this is well worth it. Rockstar Uproar was incredible last night. Avenged Sevenfold put on, at worst, the 2nd best show I've ever seen live (they'd only be behind Metallica, if anyone). Stone Sour was great as well, so was Halestorm, and Disturbed was good for what we saw. We left halfway through the set to beat traffic that was soon to ensue with 25,000 people leaving the same place all at once. And because we were all starving. But yea, awesome time last night. If anyone has a chance to catch it, I would certainly recommend.
Sorry I haven't been around lately. Been waiting for my son to be born and getting the house in order the past few months for him. It's amazing how much space a newborn takes with all their crap .. the crib, stroller, clothes, bathing accessories, diapers, bottles, toys, etc. Plus you have to figure out where to store all this stuff once they out grow it. The waiting kills you too. Every time my phone rings or I get a text the adrenaline hits you because it could the "the call." Looking forward to the start of the NFL season and of course the Lakers run at the 3 Peat.
Mike Portnoy is their touring drummer. And, seeing as how he just left Dream Theater (ya know, his fucking baby for the last 25 years), I have a good hunch he's going to join them on a permanent basis.
Anyone else not liking how they are calling and how quickly they are calling techs so far this preseason (I'm paying attention to all the games)? Cause if the preseason is any indication, this coming season will suck big time in terms of refereeing.
As long as the officials are consistent with the call then the players can adjust. I don't think it's going to last very long because the majority of fans aren't going to tune in to watch the star players getting T'd up and ejected from games.
Why? I'll watch tomorrow night, I'll follow the games loosely, read the articles, look @ box scores, read the convos over @ LG because they've got a much better Lakers' board over there than we do, but there is no reason to be anxious until the post season. Wake me in April.
Can we change the description line of this forum? No More Excuses was so 2 years ago.. Lords of the Rings
There needs to be a Laker fan rejuvenation program here at S2. I remember the days when JBB lakers ruled all and constantly had arguments with the Celtics, Magic and and Rockets forum
adam morrison just got waved, we should still have him on the team for league minimum, he's such a great guy.
