I'm bored as fuck At least I got out of the house yesterday. I dunno what I'm gonna do over break. Man...
Only his second save opportunity and Brian Fuentes blows it. Ugh.... I've been saying since Francisco Rodriguez left for the Mets that Arredondo or Shields should be the closer.
And another run... 6-4 A's, now. Justin Spier warming up? Not much better. This is going to be a long and disappointing year I feel for the Angels if we can't get the pitching healthy.
Canseco taking a shot at Manny and saying he probably took steroids. http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-streeter-canseco6-2009apr06,0,6320360.column
Not a surprise that Canseco is opening his mouth. At this point though, I don't know if I really believe a word he's saying. Baseball Tonight also made a great point. If GMs really knew about it, which is something Canseco claims, it would have found a way to leak to the media at some point.
I actually believe Jose. He hasn't been wrong once. He said A-roid was on the list, and sure enough...he was. He is a prick, yes, but he hasn't been wrong.
Sorry to hear to what happened to Nick, Mamba. Hopefully you are taking it well. Here is a video for you to laugh at, since I think you hate Kanye. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wsy...74&st=0&gopid=632198&&feature=player_embedded
Being an Angels' fan, its really shocking to see that happen to Adenhart. The guy pitched one hell of a fucking ball game last night and two hours later, he's dead? Murdered by a drunk driver. Its a damn shame. The Angels' are notorious for keeping their home grown talent (Adenhart, Brandon Wood, Sean Rodriguez, etc...) and grooming them. They don't trade away a lot of their prospects. Adenhart's future was so damn bright. The pitches he possessed were nice, his curve ball was pretty wicked. It just is a damn shame and a major shock. Something needs to be done about drunk driving. The penalties aren't severe enough. I've never driven drunk before, I've driven tipsy, but not drunk. My brother, on the other hand, is a douche bag and has driven drunk before. Every time he does, I want to beat the shit out of him. R.I.P Nick and the two others.
I just woke up and had ESPN on (parents gone) and they had it as breaking news. Said he was a great guy outside of baseball, and a great young talent for the Angels. Also mentioned he pitched a great game yesterday. It really sucks to hear this happen to someone, I cannot image how those close to him would've felt. Dying so young, after just pitching a terrific game in the pros. I just wish everybody well. I agree the penalties for a DUI should be a lot stricter. How many more accidents and deaths need to occur for them to realize this? Hopefully the douchebag gets what he deserves.
In 2007, 13,000 people were killed by a drunk driver. 3,000 people were killed on 9-11. Those numbers for drunk driving are staggering, yet the laws are so laughable. I'm not going to lie, it took the death of Adenhart for Drunk driving to really hit home for me. I never really realized how laughable the punishment for drunk driving was until they were talking about it this morning on the news. They suggested if your arrested for DUI without harming anyone, automatic 30 days in jail + $10,000 fine. If you harm or kill someone, it should be treated like a 2nd degree murder case.
