The year before last year the Lakers were a finals team. The Heat were a 2nd round team. Clearly the Lakers had the better pieces then they trade Shaq. Key word is trade. Without Shaq the Lakers didn't even make the playoffs. Shaq and the Heat will own the Lakers again. Kobes record vs Shaq: 0-3 Thats if you count the all-star game which the East won after several years of Western Reign. It was also the year Shaq came from the West to the East.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Well this thread is going nowhere now. Everyone has written off the Lakers. We'll see who gets the last laugh. I love how everyone thinks we'll get blown away.</div> I don't know, but maybe it's becasue it's the most realistic and it's the truth. It's a non playoff team vs a championship contending team. (The latter which has also improved drastically since last year too.) Sorry if the truth is too hard to handle bud.
Well, I really don't even see why the Lakers are fighting for this game. Wade has proved himself to be just a step below Kobe, then you add the Big Diesel, who doesn't even really have to play in this game. I say why don't we let the man rest at home with his kids? Because now that the Heat have Posey, Walker, and J-Will they don't need Shaq for teams like the Lakers. They have Haslem and Walker for the frontcourt and Posey will take SF for the day. But, in all honesty. Lakers will lose bad.
