[startrant]They aren't bad, they're probably just tanking for Durant and Oden. Anyways, this offseason, Mitch Kupchak really has to make some sort of move to help Kobe. It's just getting ridiculous how the guy's just wasting away Kobe's prime. Kobe is playing some of the best basketball in recent NBA memory. Yet the most we can get him is Smush Parker to start at point? That's ridiculous! If Smush freaking Parker is the best Mitch can do, then I really hope Kobe demands a trade this offseason and goes somewhere where the organization actually cares about his talents. I mean, Smush Parker is a freaking streetballer. He's just some guy picked off the streets of New York, who used to play in Rucker Park, yet he's the best starting calibur point guard Mitch can get us? Unbelievable.

The fact that the guy didn't make any changes at the trade deadline still baffles me, especially considering we were already on a 5 game losing streak or so before the All Star game. No Jason Kidd is fine with me, I didn't expect him to come in the first place, but at least do something! Anothony Johnson got traded away for a freaking 2nd rounder!!! Don't tell me he wouldn't be starting had we traded for him. Anothony Johnson is years ahead of Smush Parker in every aspect of basketball, yet we just let him go right in front of our faces for a 2nd rounder! Wow. [/endrant]

Btw, the amount of easy layups Kwame Brown misses still baffles me. The guy lacks even the basic of basketball fundamentals

Kobe should pull an MJ and sock somebody in the face (hopefully Smush or Kwame). This is just embarrassing. I feel sorry for all the fans that paid good money to go out and watch this team play

Laker fan. But I'm also a Kobe fan. Of course I'm a Laker fan first, but all this organization is doing is wasting his prime. If they don't make any changes this offseason, it will just be another year of Kobe Bryant wasted. I'd much rather him go somewhere else and win a championship rather than playing under an organziation that doesn't seem to care.

Btw, sorry for my ranting. I'm just frustrated with this team

i agree, but i really can't see Kobe demanding a trade, i really will hate the lakers if they don't get a solid PG this offseason. I personally think this team will get swept with no Odom.

Kobe isn't the type of player who will demand a trade, he's stated numerous times he wants to be a Laker from start to finish. What I don't understand is why he's so passive in his interviews and press releases. He's a very well-spoken individual, he can say something that trashes our team in a very knowledgeable and respectable way. He hasn't done that yet. I am baffled on him being so passive, he needs to voice his concerns over the team in a respectful manner.

I do agree with the way this team has absolutely fallen apart (yes, we've been injured but we're still losing very winnable games) at the end of this year, Mitch has to do something this off season if he doesn't want to lose his job. Nobody should be untouchable, including Bynum. I've been a staunch supporter of him, but this team needs to win and win now. Watching them is becoming embarrassing.

Acctually Kobe is Untouchable.[IMG] But with Bynum not being untouchable i agree, we can get some good players for Bynum. I still think they should have gave Bynum to the Nets for Kidd. Think of how this team might be right now with Kidd.

We lost to the Bucks by 20, you really thought we had a chance in this one? Yeah right..

And also, you people need to stop the mess, Kobe is 5-18 himself, he's not having a spectacular stellar night. So quit with the poor, innocent, Kobe mess. EVERYONE is at fault right now, no one is going to get special treatment at this point.

This team is a mess right now, and I blame it on Phil for not doing jack sh!t.

I still wouldn't have given up Bynum for Kidd. I think if we were to trade away Bynum, we could possibly get someone like Kevin Garnett, Pau Gasol, or Jermain O'Neal in return. Had we traded away Bynum, we would be absolutely dominated in the paint night in and night out

Bynum does not do much in the paint.. im not saying anything against him, but serioulsy. Players like Jason Terry and Devin Harris like today just run in bump into him and get a layup. I expect Bynum to be much more dominant next year, way stronger. I want to see a Sky- Hook.

That's because the opposing guards keep penetrating. Our guards can't play a lick of defense to save their lives. It's their job to keep guys like Jason Terry and Devin Harris away from the paint, but they obviously don't. You can't really blame Bynum for that

I do think that Kobe's kind of being hung out to dry recently. But, I'm just wondering how Lakers fans' turned from blaming injuries to blaming their GM. I mean, there was a reason this team was playing so well in the beginning of the season. There is room for improvement on the roster, but I think this recent slide is more due to a lack of healthy bodies.

Since going 26-13, the Lakers are 6-18. I definitely didn't expect the Lakers fall like this when they beat the Spurs.

They would not have fallen this badly most likely if it wasn't for all the injuries. I don't like to use injuries as an excuse, but in this scenario it's hard not to use it as one.

I just hope when Odom and Walton come back, those two can get their rythmn back asap.
