I'm getting really worried about this offseason, aside from the Celts hurting themselves with that Rondo proposal, our biggest contenders are improving. Cavs with the Shaq trade, Orlando with the Carter trade and Spurs with the Jefferson trade combined with great draft picks. There's a rumor going around that Portland's pursuing Hedo and Rasheed is going to either the Spurs, Cavs or Orlando. Dunno about Jason Kidd. THough we are still a beast with our current roster, I still can't help but be nervous with all the additions.
Don't worry, Bynum should finally man up this year. He managed to get through the post-season without getting hurt again at least.
Orlando is trying to make a serious run at the title with their offseason movement. PG - Nelson SG - Carter SF - Shard PF - Sheed C - Howard Right there is a lineup of five All Stars. I'm not sure what Hedo is thinking with his decision to opt out for more money. I don't think any title contender is going to pay him the $10M plus he wants. He should stick with Orlando and be a piece of their quest to win a ring. Is making an extra $2M worth it to play for a mediocre team? This starting 5 would be a tougher matchup for the Lakers because Orlando improves the length of their squad. They lose a little versatility, but I think that starting 5 is better equipped for playoff success. The wildcard of course is Sheed though.
That's a pretty good offense-defense squad. BUt as stated, Sheed can't guard Gasol, same to Carter who can't guard Kobe. Sad thing is, Fisher can't guard Nelson too, and Bynum might be too busy fouling to guard.
J Kidd might be a good find, but I'm not sure if he's a good fit cause he mostly needs the ball in his hands. Which FA do you need can help us guys?
JKidd would be a great fit! what you talkin about! anyway, how the hell could we afford it? plus kidd is getting old, well maybe he would settle for mle because he is aged in nba land. anyway, i hear alot of people here talking about trading sasha/farmar/ammo, is this from any viable source? has mitch or any other laker front office person indicated a trade involving one of these guys will happen? or is it just S2 speculation?
Well one always assumes expiring contracts have a decent trade value. Farmar/Ammo/Fish are in that category this year.
Well, what I'm talking about is that Kidd will handle more, taking more ball time away from Kobe, which is why I'm not sure, although it is a good thing IMO. Yeah, expiring contracts by worthless players have been the norm lately. As evident in the inclusion of Pavlovic to that Shaq trade, so trading Farmar and Ammo isn't just a pipe dream. I'm not sure if LA's ever gonna trade Fish.
I could see Fisher being one of those players who gets traded, waived, and then re-signs with the Lakers after he clears waivers for the vet minimum.
If the rumor is true and Hedo is working on signing a deal with Portland for about $8 million/year, no way in hell will Ariza get more than that. Hedo is the #1 SF out there right now. Come on, close the deal Portland!
Trev owned Hedo's bitchass in the Finals though Dude tried talking shit to Trev, and Trev doesn't back down and gets in his face. Bang bang bang Trevor goes on a rampage and takes Hedo's bitchass to school. Hedo doesn't say shit for the rest of the game and we win in his house. His ass probably too embarrassed to be back in Orlando, that's why he bolted. Soft pussy
