    But they have money.

Second guess: New York. Big market and guaranteed role makes up for less money.

Clippers, Knicks or Wizards on a 1-year would be my guess.

Do you get to keep your bird rights with a 1 year contract?

If Love is not acquired, I would be all in on Randle. He is starting to turn it around. And having a guy who has some Laker Hate in him ain't all bad.

Suppose we were able to sign him. Would we get his Bird Rights?

Only if we signed him and he stayed for 3 years.

OK, thanks. I'm still a little confused on something. If we didn't sign Davis to save $$$,
    1) Why sign Stauskas?
    2) Why not renounce Layman?
    3) What is the minimum number of players is required for a roster?
    4) If we didn't sign Stauskas and renounced Layman, surely we'd be in a better situation, right?

Not many teams with more than the tax payer MLE left. And those that do either suck or their top players are still on rookie deals (Philly).

Maybe not a good 3pt shooter but 57.5 % is not bad from 2 point range.

The Lakers played a scrambling type of defense last year. Not sure how you can tell about his D. But I tell you from watching many of their games (I take pleasure in watching them lose) his D is at least average.

Translation: They wanted him to sign a 1-year contract and go fishing for someone else next year. He wants a multi-year big $$$ commitment. Just as I predicted.

IQ and length limit him. Only has value in a switching scheme. Never has posted a positive DPRM.

30%ish shooter outside 16ft for his entire career.

Hmmm, wonder if that means they’re moving on from Boogie.
