Man, I thought that this game would be a close one, I didn't expect it to be such an easy win for Phoenex. I still haven't lost hope though. But sometimes it's just annoying to watch this team waste Kobe's talent with such a useless supporting cast. I hope that when the offseason comes by, Cupcake can make things happen or possily get a KG or JO calibre player. After all, he did see the Lakers get dismantled personally.. He should have been humiliated by that and would then suddenly have Brian Colangelo like moves.. Heres to hoping..
I had a really hard time watching this game. wow. We are going home now. The Laker fans better be in full force. 2 down is not out yet... LETS GO LAKERS!!! BOO for cheering for an injury. Wouldn't you rather face the team at full strength than without their STAR player?

I know it's obvious to many here but Kwame has been wasting his fair share of ball possessions recently. He's clumsy in the paint and his butterfingers never cease frustrating me. Last night's game was a disaster, but if LA can win two straight they can at least get some momentum on their side. Odom looked incredibly uncomfortable in his post-game interview last night.
Question: Is it time to start having Kobe guard Barbosa? It would still be a mismatch... but no worse than putting Smush or Vujacic or Farmar on him.

Everyone knew going in, Barbosa was going to be a problem for the Lakers. The Lakers just don't have the speed guard to stay in front of him, and none of their guards can post up effectively to make Barbosa a liability on defense. The Lakers had a similar problem against Tony Parker and the Spurs in the playoffs a few seasons ago. Parker was blowing by Fisher and anyone else PJax put on him. Finally the Lakers schemed a defensive wall to seal off Parker's penetration and anytime he came to the paint, he'd get leveled by the weakside rotation. No one seems to be willing to take a hard foul on Laker team. It doesn't have to be a dirty foul or cheap shot. Just a solid hard foul to let Barbosa and everything else on Phoenix bench know they are going to have to earn those two free throws when they come into the paint. The mental weakness of this Laker team has really revealed itself this season, with all the injuries and setbacks. The majority of key players on this roster, just don't have the heart to be NBA champions. They can't handle any type of adversity or deliver when the pressure is on.
