Here's the article for those who haven't read it: http://www.nypost.com/seven/05312007/sport...eter_vecsey.htm I hope Lakers get Arest. I'm with Shape, Kobe-Artest-Lamar would be the ultimate Triangle Offense. Not too mention Artest's defense that he brings as well. Artest could take on the responsibility of guarding the other teams star perimeter player and allow Kobe to have less to worry about.

Look at it this way. For them to make it out the first round they would have to have home court. And I dont see dallas, suns, houston, spurs, utah, Denver losing any ground in the standings. then you have GS the clips and now portland on the move up. the west is just too power packed.</div> If they land O'Neal without giving up Odom, or they land Artest to play with JO and Kobe, than yes. The bottomline is you need three stars to win in the West. Kobe and JO is only two stars.

Upgrade the PG position with the MLE, and that should be enough to get this team into the 2nd round. In 2008 you hope for KG to opt out and you put the power play on bringing him to LA.
