Denver is scaring me a bit. I don't think they'll relinquish the division title as easily as all the experts assumed... I commented in another thread how road heavy their opening schedule was, and now they return home to drub the Lakers. At least they narrowly beat us when we were playing like crap.
I rooted for the Nuggets. I want more than the division. I want the #1 seed. I'm glad the Lakers lost.
I concur - the Nuggs seem pretty solid and have A LOT of talent. I think it'll be a hard fought battle for first between us and them so I don't think they're going anywhere. Unlike last year, we've been pretty blessed with a soft schedule. Denver just crushed the Flakers (even if it's the second of a back-to-back, it's still pretty impressive) and now have something like 7 out of 9 at home. They are pretty scary. And man . . . how good would T. Lawson look in red and black???
I'm not crowning them (the Nuggs) Division Champs based on that game only - hell, I beat the crap out of the Flakers last year and look at what that got us! You can't deny that they have a ton of talent on that team. To your point, ask the Suns how much the Flakers missed Pau.
