<div class="quote_poster">KobeTheLegend Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Ya know I used to Like Gilbert before he started talking so much this season. Hopefully this will shut him up for a second or two. Kobe showed him who's boss!</div> I love every part of Gilbert's trash talking and out of the blue comments. He has a great sense of humor and it helps hype up the game. The NBA needs more of these rivalries to develop, the robotic do not play with emotion trend is not working. Gilbert has such a great appreciation for life and gives so much back to his fans and community.
Excellent win tonight. Like I said, I expected a victory since the Wizards are a decent, which means the Lakers playing great basketball. Now, if we would have played with the same energy and intensity as we did tonight, we would have blown out the Pacers. Anyways, the whole team's going to watch the Super Bowl tomorrow, together. So that's great news for the chemistry. Also, before the game, Phil Jackson took the players on a trip around Washington DC, to see the White House and all the momuments. What a great way for this team to bond
Yeah I agree. He is a great guy but I think everything has gone to his head a bit this season. He used to be one of the most humble guys in the NBA. Thats why I liked him.

Gilbert Arenas is also a very kind, lovable guy (no homo) off the court as well, so the only time I despise him is when he plays against the Lakers. Also, damn I miss Caron Butler. He used to be my second favorite Laker because of all the energy and intensity he brings. Glad to see him thriving with the Wizards

How about Phil takin the guys on a tour? No more practice Phil! Let's tour every city! ATLANTA HERE WE COME!
<div class="quote_poster">Will637 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post"></div> I never realized in that game he almost had a triple double. If he did it would have probably been recognized as one of the best games ever in recent memory... certainly in Wizards history.
Gil chucked up alot of threes in this one. HE got the FT line alot more than Kobe and thats what saved him. Kobe only went to the line what??? 3 times?? I wonder if Kobe is attacking the basket enough, or if the refs are not calling fouls.
Kobe shot 10 or 11 freethrows. With that said, I think the refs swallow the whistle sometimes when Kobe goes to the goal. It's like they expect him to make his shots whether or not he gets hit sometimes.

He was on fire from the start, so he was shooting pretty much the whole game
Gilbert was never "humble". He's always been very confident in his abilities, he's always trash talked, he's always done things his way. Stop pretending like you know so much about him, because you're coming off completely wrong. Go research him and learn. Btw, that missed dunk by Kobe was hilarious, but I'm glad he got a nice dunk on the next play.

When I made the statement about the refs I was reffering to many games this season. Not tonights.

He has never had a season where he has talked so much about himself as he has this season.

Just a way to show that he won't be ignored and go out quietly.

He's has had a few comments this year that were just out of the ordinary to me.

What Kobe said was some what takin out of context. Gilberts comments came days after he had already commented on Kobes statements. Thats was done with by that time. Point is Gilbert's just a bit too cocky for my taste this year, and tonight he got it handed to him.

He didn't get anything handed to him. If the Wizards had won with Kobe and Arenas scoring the same amount of points, would you have still said Kobe served Arenas? The Wizards played poorly tonight, not getting anything going offensively like they had in the first quarter, careless turnovers leading to easy buckets and a few open 3's that hurt us. But uh, I guess Kobe's 39 totally served Arenas who just only scored 37... .
