I'm not gonna bother to look, and really, I don't give a shit, but I feel like I remember the tone from you and BrianfromWA changing dramatically once the heavy rumors of LMA wanting out first hit. Went from thinking we should deal him just in case, to an almost I told you so. Regardless, I think you've changed your tune and have stated so many times about wanting to see him here. Love hearing this today, and love that he clarified about how hey, I wanna be here, but it makes no sense financially. Yes, things can always change, we can have a horrendous season, etc. But I like this news.
That's the nicest comparison you've made to Aldridge. I wonder what Dirk said the year before he had to decide?
This is good news and I think the right thing to do is let it play out no matter the risk involved and let him further define himself as a person. Trust is the word. I’m not like many of you, meaning some what gullible. I still think the appeal of playing at or going home is there. And I think if you give Marc Cuban (and he will get that opportunity) one to two days to sell him on the benefits of playing with the Mavericks and going back home at a lovely dinner at his mansion. I feel like there is a good chance he wins him over. For one, I’m not sold his heart his here. I think he’d rather play in a warmer, drier place where there is more going on. I have to believe with how close he is to his family and his mom, he would love to be closer. In the end, it’s a risk but it’s one that we should be willing to take because he personally said he wants to finish his career as a Blazer and be the best one at that. If he’s authentic and only time will tell. We should give him the opportunity I will say this, if this off season doesn’t get any better than this and we lose him next off season. Neil better start packing his bags.
All good answers above you but WINNER! !!!! It is a short flight from Portland to Vegas, he never knows she was gone.
Maybe Aldridge is staying because the all star he talked to was KD and they have made plans for 2016. We will let Batum go and sign KD.
You wouldn't? Explain. Can you imagine, KD coming to portland and winning the championship oden never win. Olshey correcting mistakes made in the past which were seemingly impossible to fix.
We keep this core together, for better or worse. They're family. You don't dump family, when someone better comes along. Well, not blood family...you might dump a significant other if someone more your type came along, but then people call you a monster and somehow your children having "emotional problems" is all your fault. It's unfair, is what I'm saying. What were we talking about? Oh yeah, Batum. He's cool.
