Trail Blazers @trailblazers 2m2 minutes ago BREAKING: LaMarcus Aldridge (ligament tear left thumb) puts surgery on hold; will play tonight versus Washington.
what in the actual fuck... what is the timeline here? if he can put it off for a couple weeks and then have the surgery at a more opportune time, maybe it makes sense?
Weird turn of events. I wonder if it's just until Batum and/or Kaman come back. Because we have nobody.
I don't like it but it might just work. They will have to put his left hand in a splint so we will see how that goes?
I LOVE THIS! but I do have some questions. Is this an injury that can get worse by playing on it. Is this just putting off the surgery and he will have to have it later in the season. How is it going to effect his game ect. Sets a nice message about what he wants to do this off season. You don't play through a severe BBall injury if you don't plan on resigning with the team your playing for.
We are in a slump and even if he just puts the surgery off a few games if we can get a little win streak going then I bet he feels better about having to sit out awhile. All the injuries we have he might have seen what almost all of us have said, that this season could turn on a heel and a giant losing streak might be looming.
LaMarcus is going to pull an actual Willis Reed to help us win a crucial regular season game?! I might have to change my signature again!
Worst news we've gotten all season. Really hope there aren't repercussions from this decision. I'd much rather test our chances with him out and have him 100% come playoff time than win a few more games with him in the lineup but potentially be 75% in the playoffs.
ITS HIS LEFT THUMB. If he can handle the pain and get adjusted, it shouldn't affect any part of his game. Gerald green plays with 4 fingers on his shooting hand ffs lol
