It's awesome he has done this. And just the unselfishness of the decision.

But I think he needs to have the surgery. What's going on in Rip City with him, his teammates and really this culture is much bigger than this one season. The Blazers can still move on with their plan without him. And that is create something very similar to what the Spurs had last year. Developing players and the system and Stotts has a good one so it makes them difficult to beat. Next year could be very special barring injuries. I think next year is what you play for. I don't agree with Canzanos article. I think is LA sold. He is in the perfect situation. Perfect coach for him and his skill set. Perfect team mates for he and himself. He has the chance of going down as one of the best Blazers of all time if he stays. And his chances of winning here as long as everything stays the same is just as great as it is anywhere. I believe that.

Well, it should limit his ability to drink like a fish with Damian.

I love what this says about LMA.

I'd feel better about our playoff chances if he had the surgery. But I also get that with so many key players out and hurt at the same time the playoffs themselves could be in jeopardy.

So which players, in addition to Chris Paul, are going to purposely crack on LaMarcus' hand?

Lets list the ones who won't since that list will be considerably shorter.

I'm trying to remember who was purposely crashing into Batum's bad shoulder after his surgery. Maybe it was Chandler?

If nothing else, it seems like this is giving a jolt of morale to the team.

Wow, this is stunning news! Just a few days ago, they announced he was gonna be out six weeks. It's mind-boggling how quickly things turn. Hopefully this turns out to be the right decision for the Blazers and for LaMarcus in the long run. But yeah, it's great of Aldridge to man up and put his health, both physical and financial, on the line for the good of the team. A very impressive display of commitment to the direction this organization is heading.

I don't like it. I know the Blazers have a tough schedule and it's going to be hard to keep and get back in to a top 4 spot in the west if we should lose it. If this was a playoff game I could see why this call would be made but it's just another regular season game. Seems to me like the Blazers are kind of already pushing the panic button trying to stay in the top 4 but if it works out then good for them!

I also wonder how all this may effect, if it does at all, how his free agency would have gone and how it will go.

That's to many question marks for such a silly question. What he said was he doesn't shoot with it.
