Really, not. It's just a good way to tell people you want to get to the beach...

BTW, I also know how to say Mountains... and we assume that dish names do not really count.

i think comparing us to europe is like apples to corvettes.

First, their countries are smaller than some of our states. So if each of our states spoke a different language im willing to bet Americans would speak at least two, maybe more languages.
Second, ive been to the philipines, Canada and Mexico.
    Thats it.

But their big cities in those small countries often have more people than our big states....we have cattle corn and tumbleweeds to account for

Did you take the ferry from Spain? We did that. Great day trip to Tangier, but man, that ferry ride back across the Straits of Gibraltar was hectic.

Safari was one of the most amazing things I ever did. Did it in Kenya. Just incredible.

Yes, the ferry. Very jealous of the safari. It’s a life goal

Can speak middling Moroccan Arabic & Algerian Arabic, can read and write Standard Arabic. I've lived in Morocco (twice) and Syria, and have traveled through UK, France, Spain, Netherlands, & Italy.

I really want to go to Japan, Palestine, Basque country, and Algeria. Iraq and Iran would be incredible, but ehhhh, probably not.

Did a week safari in kenya around 2000 with a local company (no fancy stuff, just tents, an old chinese Donfeng truck and 3 parks - samburu, nakuru and the Masai Mara). Great time.

Spent a week later travelling the coast from Mombasa to lamu island. One of my favorite vacations ever.

Worked for a week in Buenos Aires, and some of us after the fight were going to take a cruise to Antartica. Just to say we did it. Never did, will never get that chance again unfortunately.

Been to Mexico like 5 times and Canada a couple. Probably been to 20 or so states.

Europe doesn’t really interest me. I’d rather go to Asia or South America. I’m all about the beaches and good food. Laying out catching the rays. You won’t see me going hiking or back packing. Not my cup of tea.

I took 2 years of Spanish in high school and got D’s both years. Ha

True. I suppose I could charter a private plane to get to Argentina, then charter a private yacht to get to Elephant Island. Seems cost effective

English and french. I know some spanish vulgarities, but that's about it.

Foreign countries I've been to are Iceland, Ireland, England, Canada, and Costa Rica. Had a trip to China planned for the 2021 but I obviously cancelled that.

Having driven across the country multiple times, I've been to most states. 43 at last count. Haven't gotten all the way up the east coast, so I'm missing some of the small ones up north.
