Larry Brown was almost a Celtics assistant coach this summer

    I don't really think that would have worked. I just can't see Brown as an assistant.</p>

    Yea it might be better that he didn't come as an assistant. Hopefully Doc does good.</p>

    i'll agree with you there, in a sense. he's definitely more of an NCAA coach. he doesn't really belong in the NBA.</p>

    He has proven to coach great teams. That does not make him a great coach.</p>

    There's a long line of coaches who wasted the talent they had. LB has done very well with talent. That makes him a bad NBA coach, and one who "does not belong in the NBA"?</p>
