    True.
Good point. I'm happy with the move, but we still need more.

It improves our size a lot. Roco gets to slide down to 3 for stretches. I see it more this way.

    Dame (34)/Ant (14)
    CJ (34)/Nas (14)
    Powell (32) /Roco (16)
    Roco (16)/Nance (32)
    Nurk (28)/Zeller (20)

That's a lot more beef than we were throwing out there last year.

PER was identical, as were rebound rates. Nance had a superior TS%, steal % and graded out better in OBPM. Draymond had a superior assist % but I bet Nance takes a big bump in that category playing with Dame and CJ. Draymond is a better defender but Nance is very good in his own right.

none whatsoever. Jones and Nance had essentially the same $ value this season and Nance actually has one MORE year left after this one at a smaller $ number. I think his contract is a steal, tbh.

LMAO. I'm pretty sure I was the first person to call this exact trade.

Happy because I like nance. Sad because this means no cj trade, and we are actually committed to Norman Powell as our fucking small forward :(

i think draymond's true impact isn't quantifiable but let's see how Nance fares.

Pretty wild. This makes me think that the team is trying to stay under the cap this year. I wonder if that pisses Dame off? It allows them to go into cap to re-sign Nurk next year without paying repeater I suppose.

A deadline move of Powell for Jerami Grant would be absolutely perfect.

That said, "Dollar Store Draymond" was brilliant, and I will be referring to him as DSD any time he has a bad game this year.

Still VERY small as a roster, but this move makes them better.

I'm just concerned that the only 2 players over 6'7" are very injury prone historically.

huh? Portland is taking on money, what are you talking about? Why would Dame be pissed off? He knows Nance is an upgrade.

Not a huge fan of Norm, but that's a downgrade. Again with the bewildering Grant obsession.

Ahh missed the Woj tweet on the Lauri contract.

    4 yrs, 67 mil

If he can shoot at higher volume, that's not bad considering what guys like Bertans got.

Slight talent downgrade, but a far better fit. Think Powell's offensive skills are minimized next to Dame/CJ, while his height is difficult to overcome on D.

I'm not as obsessed with Grant as others who are willing to trade CJ for him. I understand the high usage, low efficiency caveats with him.

why? The Blazers only seem to take projects in the first round, who won't contribute for 3+ years. It is fun watching the draft, but I would rather have someone who will actually produce and help the team.

I was about to say that Grant gives me distinct Harvey Grant vibes (which is NOT a compliment)... and then I remembered why they have the same last name.
