Dude would seriously bolster our defense. Shot blocking is his specialty and it's exactly what this team needs, a true paint protector.
He's not a paint protector. He blocks shots from the weak side, and is only averaging 2 bpg without doing anything else well.
He would give us a 3rd great interior defender, we'll be able to play either Sanders or Lopez at all times, occasionaly even play one of them with Freeland.
Although it might be difficult to see, the OP has provided a link to ESPN trade machine with a trade that works. It can also be done if Milwaukee includes Ridnour. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=lx4asnm or this http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=mjwcquv
$11m/year is a lot to pay a 3rd interior defender who can't shoot, admits himself he has anger issues, and punches people in the face at bars just after signing a huge contract extension.
NBA leaders in technical fouls this year. Sanders is 'only' tied for 16th, but look at the amount of games played. http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/player/_/stat/fouls/sort/technicalFouls He's also 6th in the league in Flagrant Fouls, and has been ejected from a game, tying him for 2nd with 31 other players. He's a hockey goon who will be making $11m/year for the next 4 years.
Ukraine fan I already said a trade of Sanders and ilyasova for everyone but the starters, Mo, Freeland and CJ works cap wise.
This is the sorta guy we need to target. A young, defensive big man who has lost value. This guy was on par with Ibaka/Gasol/Chandler in his defense. If we could somehow make it work, I would do it.

Here's another one for you: Basics: We get Sanders and Ridnour (to replace Mo) Indiana gets Mo, Caron Butler and OJ Mayo Bucks get our young guys and the expiring contract of Danny Granger (who is just depressing Indiana fans right now) Major hurdle: Indiana have to cooperate and take on either OJ Mayo or Ilyasova, both of whom have nasty contracts but either of which could be seen to provide the last cog in a Heat-killing machine. But remember who works for Indiana now, who might not have much invested in helping the Blazers... I wonder if the Bucks would insist on getting CJ in any trade (that doesn't involve a Blazer starter). If so, I think I'd still do it, but it would be a little bit wrenching.
Look at how many "troubled" guys have helped teams win championships. Having one player like Sanders wouldn't hurt this team one bit. Championship teams have long histories of bringing "troubled" guys in and rehabilitating them. Ever since the jail blazers era the team has been so scared of a repeat that they can't make a move to put themselves over the top. The Heat brought in Birdman and he was a huge part of their playoff run last year. He was a much bigger cancer risk in comparison to Sanders considering Andersons drug history and allegations of kiddie porn having. Jason Kidd was a key piece of the 10-11 Mavs team and he is a wife beater and multiple DUIer. The Lakers had Metta World Peace on their squad for their championship run and he is one of the craziest guys the league has ever seen. If we are really so confident that the chemistry of this team is special than it should be no problem absorbing a guy like Sanders into the nucleus. At least Dame could teach him that his posse is the one to administer the beatings when they're out on the town.
Very true. Some guy named Rodman won a few titles while with Chicago as well and had a good run with SAS for a short bit.
Milwaukee apparently doesn't think he's worth it. Does he take minutes from Ropez? Or, does he get paid $11m to play Freeland's minutes? This isn't fantasy basketball.
I'd say he takes Robin's role (29 minutes) while Robin takes Joel's (19 minutes) and Joel takes Robinson's (11 minutes).
