Nobody tells Jews to forget the Holocaust but everybody wants black people to forget slavery, Jim Crow, and mass incarceration.
So lets just generalize white people then comparing the same ones that created the epidemic to the rest. How stupid. I don't deny racism. It definitely still goes on but it's not on the level you think it's on. We are gonna act like there aren't black racists out there too?!?! there are racists of all colors.
when was the last time you seen a jew bring up the holocaust when they aren't doing well in life? they barely bring it up. I mean were you directly affected by slavery? was a I a participant? no so shut the fuck up. That's the point. I mean I get it, your group of white people are the same ones that don't keep it real with you and just apologize constantly for shit they didn't take part in and the blacks you hang around probably just wanna sit around and feel sorry for themselves and situations. It's 2017. Stop the victim card. Stop blaming white people for your problems. Nobody is denying racism doesn't exist. Nobody denies slavery was bad. From what I am seeing from the world today is SO many white apologists. Fuck I see more whites out in Portland marching for the shitty BLM protests than blacks. What does that tell you about racism? we had a black president for 8 years. Progress much? but naw you would rather sit there and feel sorry for yourself and listen to the media when they wanna feed you more victim ideology. You freak the fuck out when a white cop is so much involved in a black shooting even if it's on the right side when the statistics are all there. Black people aren't getting gunned down like the media tells you. A lot of black lives gun each other down and nobody gives a fuck. You're too busy trying to preach to me how you're a victim when blacks are killing each other. Nobody is doing anything about that. Kids dying to pointless gun violence and you wanna shit on white people? I mean hey go for it, stay ignorant to the actual statistics. And let me actually clarify because I am not trying to say ALL black people. A lot of the inner city has that stupid ass mentality and it's glorified by society but hey it's white peoples fault.
Hearing all this same shit and your shitty arguments and points is like when feminists try and bring up the reason for their oppression and the myth wage gap. Welcome to 2017 though. EVERYBODY is a victim. White straight males are the devil. Dear white people you are so fucking awful.
I've realized recently how silly it is to be proud of something over which you have no control and to which you did not contribute. Being "proud" of ones race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, physical appearance, sexual orientation...exactly why should anyone be "proud" over any of these things? I didn't choose to be American--why should I be proud of being one? Have I accomplished something pride-worthy by growing to be 6'4"? And while I certainly benefit from being male, I certainly didn't choose that; nothing really to be proud of there either. Galatians 6:4--"Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else." I'll take pride in my choices, my accomplishments--not in things I can't impact in the slightest.
If you don't think that you continue to benefit from the systems that have been put in place then you are either stupid or participating in cognitive dissonance.
Yes @Cippy91 It is white people's fault that black people have been subjugated and oppressed. Who else's fault would it be? Again, they always tell black people to forget about slavery and the oppression that we continue to experience but never bring ask Joe to forget about the Holocaust because they're white.
People always talk about those who died for this country but forget about the 90 million natives and 5 million Africans.
Well you might start to answer this question by reading history. If you had then you would not be asking the question. Permit me to offer some crib notes, things to look for in the reading of history which should be informative. It is sometime helpful to know what you are looking for to focus your attention on the answers to questions you have. 1. There have been slave traders in business for centuries now. Still are. 2. The trade which you are focused on, in Africa was not the only Slave trade. 3. So we can skip the White slave trade, which may have involed more people over a longer period of time, and the other trade, such as Polynesian and Micronesian slaves. 4. Many of the Black Slaves from Africa were sold into slavery by their tribal chief for various reason, or by rival tribes capturing them and selling the booty. 5. Most of the round up of Slave available was done by the Arab Slave traders. Some of which Jefferson went to war with in Tripoli (Libya). I am sure you must know, there were damn few white men willing to venture into Africa to gather up slaves. Those that did the trafficking, pretty much loaded their ships in the ports of West Africa. Yankee Slave traders for the most part, some of which brought slaves to the markets in what is now this country, but before it became US territory. However, not all the buyers were White, some of the biggest Slave markets were owned by Blacks. 6. It was White people that put and end to the Slave trade carried on between Africa and North and South America including the Caribbean Islands. First the British declare this Black trade as illegal and began intercepting the Slave ships between African and the Caribbean. 7. Jefferson joined the British in this treaty in one of the earliest treaties ratified by this new nation. Importing Slaves became illegal. There were way less than a million slave owners in this country then, perhaps closer to 100,000. They could no longer legally import slaves. 8. After the time the US created Liberia, most slave ships intercepted on the high sea with cargo still onboard, were taken back to Africa, but to the country of Libria, mostly by the British Navy. They were taken to Liberia, as it was reasoned that returning them to their origin would not be right as this was the place that enslaved them. I got the last line out of a diary of an officer on a British Frigate in the 1850's, my Grand pappy with a enough greats to go back that far.
Wha chew talkin' about??? If utopia is a bunch of cranky old white guys, then we are so there......though Sly, Riverman and I exist solely to keep you young.....and your brain engaged......even if it usually tries to go off in different and.......interesting......directions.....
A thought like this jumped off the page at me last night, written by Jack London more than 100 years ago. Sort of a quote, from memory; "I take pride in what I accomplish, because I accomplished it! Not because others admire the accomplishment. If I rely on others for my worth, will I have none when they're gone?" Not quite the same but you reminded me of it.
So, in your opinion, the Africans that captured and sold other Africans to white slavers have no fault in the matter?
If you want to keep pushing that bullshit lie go ahead. It's the same type of lie that says Irish people were slaves too. No, SOME of them were indentured servants and when they ended their indentured servitude they were given land. Just another fallacy propagated by white people who want to act like black people played a hand in their own slavery... GTFO... There's also lots of research that shows that there were black people here before Columbus stumbled his dumbass across the Atlantic... A better question is why white people won't own it. Why won't admit they, as a whole, continue to benefit off these systems that are in place? That's what continues to perpetuate the racism... The denial. Stop being afraid...
This may well be true. Not much reason to believe Columbus was the first white man here either. Now what? Is this all bullshit? "The historical record is incontrovertible—as documented in the PBS Africans in America series companion book: The white man did not introduce slavery to Africa . . . . And by the fifteenth century, men with dark skin had become quite comfortable with the concept of man as property . . . . Long before the arrival of Europeans on West Africa’s coast, the two continents shared a common acceptance of slavery as an unavoidable and necessary—perhaps even desirable—fact of existence. The commerce between the two continents, as tragic as it would become, developed upon familiar territory. Slavery was not a twisted European manipulation, although Europe capitalized on a mutual understanding and greedily expanded the slave trade into what would become a horrific enterprise . . . . It was a thunder that had no sound. Tribe stalked tribe, and eventually more than 20 million Africans would be kidnapped in their own homeland. 10 Historians estimate that ten million of these abducted Africans “never even made it to the slave ships. Most died on the march to the sea”—still chained, yoked, and shackled by their African captors—before they ever laid eyes on a white slave trader..." http://historynewsnetwork.org/article/41431
Huh? "Several nations such as the Ashanti of present-day Ghana and the Yoruba of present-day Nigeria were involved in slave-trading. Groups such as the Imbangala of Angola and the Nyamwezi of Tanzania would serve as intermediaries or roving bands, waging war on African states to capture people for export as slaves. Historians John Thornton and Linda Heywood have provided an estimate that Africans captured and then sold to Europeans around 90% of those who were shipped in the Atlantic slave trade.[11]Henry Louis Gates, the Harvard Chair of African and African American Studies, has stated that "without complex business partnerships between African elites and European traders and commercial agents, the slave trade to the New World would have been impossible, at least on the scale it occurred." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery_in_Africa
