I'm not too familiar with stuff he's done, why do you dislike him? I take it you liked it when Bruce Bowen jump kicked his face [IMG]

Here in San Diego, Cliff Levingston used to throw a charity game, we have everyone from JAson Kidd to Michael Jordon play in these game. I worked as a spotter at many of these events for a friend that runs the stats. I was carrying some heavy equipment trying to weave my way through the crowd to get out onto the floor at the SD Sports Arena. Down with the catering, it was crowded with the players, celebrities etc and there was this gate i just needed a third hand to open. Travis Best was leaning on this gate and just gave me this rude look like he couldnt be bothered. Sean Respert came out of nowhere and actually took the equipment from my hands and helped me carry it down to the scorers table making some joke about BEst being big time now. I was always bummed that Sean soon got some stomach ailment and didnt stick in the NBA. That look Best gave me just stuck with me. HAted him ever since. Especially coming from a rookie
Ceballos a different story at the after party at the US GRant.

I have heard Ron Harper used to be a real jackass act like he was a king.
Nate Robinson has officially been crowned though after his recent actions

Someone should stick a leg under Bowen.

Man, that's awesome, boogielew. Yeah some nba players can be absolute a holes when you meet them. Luckily, I've never met anyone like that yet. Steve Nash is pretty cool guy. Outside of him, I haven't encountered many nba players where I felt comfortable in talking to them.

One of my friends did see Mike Dunleavy or Troy Murphy at a dance club or bar or something. If I was there with him, It'd be awkward/ironic as hell. I'd probably be very impressed with them knowing that those two are some of the best players in the world. But at the same time, I know their talents are all relative to the competing talent level we're facing at the SF/PF/C starting matchups. If I got to know them, I probably wouldn't be talking so much smack about their job performance and being an a hole about their softness and defense. [IMG]

No, actually I would because I care so much about the Warriors, that no players is above fan criticism.

    Cus,

Yeah, most have been very friendly. i can understand after a game or just out in public and being accosted by a fan or something. But this was a social thing for charity. It was why they were there. BEst was/is a jackass.

I ran into Scott Pollard about a month after they lost to the LAkers in the now infamous game 6 when he was still with Sac. He was out with a limo bus partying with a bachelor party and went into this bar called Cass St. where me and some friends were shooting pool... they were playing shuffleboard and the whole group was pretty loud and rowdy. He is pretty hard to miss and as he walked by i had to ask him about the series. So yeah i was an annoying fan. I told him they were robbed and asked him if he read the article DAvid Aldridge had written about the conspiracy by the NBA/Stern to make sure the LAkers get past the Kings as ..... what kind of ratings series would a pacers vs kings series bring in viewership. It was actually quite obvious .... phantom fouls a plenty first to take WEbber out of the game and then to keep Shaq in the game. I asked him point blank if the fix was in. He laughed, rolled his eyes and said, "what do you think?" The expression on his face told all as it was a very sore subject. He, at least felt they were robbed is what i took from it.
