Cleveland and Boston play in the East.

LeBron is still far away from reaching MJ/Kobe status. Probably another 2/3 years if he keeps improving his shot.

Interesting, since he shoots over 50% from the field, with better 3 pointers.

You're just defending Lebron left and right. Unexpected.

I learned something today, earning better stats rather than rings make you superior to another player.

Blazers fan coming to our Laker board because their team got dispatched in the first round. Unbelievable. Well, not really.... haha... All I know is the Lakers have the opportunity to play for a championship for the 3 time in a row and are 1-1 doing it. Some teams dream (blazers) of making it to the championship series once.

Im proud of this Laker team and I expect a repeat this year...

Oh and to pour salt on wounds. This season at least. Bynum>Oden. WHAT? LOL

I don't really care if Lebron > Kobe or Kobe > Lebron, I just want to win another championship, whether that means Kobe being the #1 guy or not. He just needs to play well enough to help us repeat, that's all I'm asking.

Shape, what do you think of Lakers competing fo the championship? I've noticed that HK has been all negative about it and hasn't believed in them since the beginning of playoffs.

I'm not negative I just try to observe things plainly. I think we would beat the Celtics for example, if that situation occurs.

First let's try to beat a hot Suns team, they're 33-9 recently.

Put it this way...you put Lebron on the Lakers right now and you put Kobe on the Cavs...the Lakers don't lose in the playoffs period and the Cavs get swept by Boston....Lebron is much better than Kobe at this point in their careers....there is absolutely no arguing that. Kobe has been put with some incredible teams and has done exactly what was expected of him with those great teams...Win...What about when he was surrounded by an "OK" team? They were in the lottery. Lets not forget what happened when Shaq left before the Lakers were handed Pau Gasol...Kobe was just a stat player...chucking shots on a losing team.

I hate to reply to people like you who write stuff like "omg kobe sux lol noob lebron rlz" but this time I try to explain something to you. Basketball is about team and not about one guy, Cavaliers have a great roster with one of the best players in the league right now, they have a decent bench plus some good good players. Then there's the coaching staff, for the Lakers Phil Jackson, the best coach of all time, equally with Red Auerbach and they're with a supporting cast of Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, Ron Artest and veteran Derek Fisher. Reason they're winning is the WHOLE TEAM, and Kobe is the best player in their team, who is also an excellent fit to that, with his great leadership and commitment, plus his experience and 4 rings. If you average the best stats in the game and still have no rings, can you really say you're the best player? LeBron right now is a nature freak with a hell of a potential but he's not near to Kobe's status, who has 4 rings and shooting for more. A great player is also a great motivatior and a teammate, not a statfreak. LeBron has everything to prove at the moment, for me.

Wow brah, I've been gone for a week and I see you took on the whole Lakers forum lol.

Anyways, not much to add to this as I concede Lebron is better than Kobe now, though I don't agree he's 'worlds' better. He's definitely better though, if he wins 3-4 titles, he'll probably be better than Jordan.

I'd happily accept Lebron to my Bulls with D. Rose and Joakim Noah :D

Huh? The Cavs are a lotto team without Lebron....they have no real 2nd option...Mo Williams? Jamison?? I would take Bynum over both of those guys and he isn't the Lakers 2nd option. You have Pau, Odom, Artest and Bynum and you are going to argue that Lebron wouldn't absolutely dominate with that roster? Look at what he did with a shitty Cleveland team..(best record in the league) I'm not sure if you watch too much basketball but the Cavs are Lebron, a couple above average role players, and a bunch of trash...Him being the best TEAM basketball player in the league is what won them all of their games...Not his support. Kobe is really really good still...really good. But Lebron is on another level. Period.
