<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chuck:</div><div class="quote_post">None of us are talking about this like it's a sure thing; we're speaking hypothetically. Who are you? I notice you don't have a favorite team or town listed... That says something to me. We are going to get a good free agent, or multiple good free agents, from that year. Wade and Lebron are unlikely, but possible. We are one of the most attractive teams to free agents: money, sun, and the next great big man.</div> Honestly I wouldn't mind getting 2 good role players(like 6-8 mil type players) that fit with Dwight instead of one superstar with the money. It's too early to determine this though, we don't know how Dwight will develop next year with this being his team and same with Darko/Jameer.
Both of them are outstanding talents, but after yesterdays game, you saw what lebron does. Triple double with 47 points, thats crazy. yeah wade almost had one too, but james was able to pull out the win. I think Lebron is a lil bit better and going for the future his size is key. He posses many mismatches on the floor and can do everything. If the magic want to regain the status we had in the middle 90's then its gonna be with lebron. I think Dwight alone can get us to the playoffs and maybe past the first round in the coming years but in order to be the best in the east we need a lebron or wade. The SG / SF position is the key scoring position in the league and we lack that right now.
The odds of getting LeBron is slim to none, anything the Magic throw at him the Cavs will match it if not do a little more. He is on a good team as it is and I doubt a player of his calibur would want to step down to a rebuilding team. He also would not want to leave his hometown I think we should go after Bosh, Harrington, R. Lewis, or Carter. Carter is a FA in 07 and I don't think he would mind coming back to his home state. I think we would be solid then but then again this is all hopes and dreams. I think it better if Magic fans just wait rather than jump the gun and get your hopes high
By 2007 this team shouldnt be a rebuilding team. The cavs without Lebron are a rebuilding team. He is the reason they are doing well. So I dont think him leaving and going to a rebuilding team is what would stop him. I think bigger markets will call his name and throw money that Orlando cant give him. Him playing in NY, LA or CHI will give him more spotlight and his endorsements will skyrocket. If he wants to win, build a future tandem with D12 and keep more of his money than he should come to orlando, if not then he will stay or go to big market team. No one should hold their breath on Lebron, nothing has been even said about him coming here its all speculation till he signs a contract. I hope he does come or alteast attract another good 07 FA. This city needs to put a superstar with D12 to showcase this team and the city.

We will have to wait and see what happens, but damn I cant wait. Its gonna be interesting offseason in 2007. Hope we can get a legitimate star to go with dwight, nelson, and darko.
Bosh is signing an extention with the Raptors so we can cross him off of our wish list. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Raptors fans got the four words they wanted from all-star forward Chris Bosh today: "I'll gladly come back," Bosh said, confirming he'll sign a lucrative six-year contract extension this summer. The 22-year-old said he reached his decision after meeting Thursday morning with president and general manager Bryan Colangelo, and being convinced that the new GM can turn around the fortunes of the struggling franchise. Bosh will be the centrepiece of the team as it tries to move into prominence in the eastern conference. The Raptors finished the season Wednesday night in Chicago, losing to the Bulls to finish with 27 wins and 55 losses, their fourth successive year out of the playoffs. "My whole thing is 'why not?' " said Bosh, who as a three-year pro was entering into an offseason in which the Raptors had exclusive negotiating rights. "I have a chance to have my own team, be a leader on the team and challenge myself to bring it back up."</div> Source In other news, Danny Ainge and the Celtics are looking to reconstuct Paul Pierce's deal. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Boston Herald - Danny Ainge once again made clear of his intention to begin discussions with Paul Pierce on an extension. Though Pierce has two years left on his contract, the second is a player option. “Once the season is over, we’ll discuss that,” the director of basketball operations said. “We’ll set up a time to meet and try to discuss it and get that done.”</div> Source Today is a great day for the Magic!
I'm lookin to build through the draft, Swish. Sifgn whatever star we can get, but we don't even need to, I have faith.

I want to spend our money on 2-3 role players that will fit around our core of Jameer/Hedo/Dwight/Darko.
trade our pick for something down the road. We dont need anymore young players. We need some vets that can help but also teach these youngins.
Another one bites the dust. <div align="center"> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Denver Post - According to a report in the Denver Post, Carmelo Anthony expects to remain a Nugget for a long time yet and is planning on signing a contract extension this summer. "Yes, I'm going to sign it," Anthony said before the Nuggets' shootaround in preparation for Game 1 of their playoff series with the Los Angeles Clippers . "I want to be here. All that moving? You've got to get acclimated to that city and that next organization. I don't want to do that." While Nuggets management doesn't comment on contract negotiations, the organization is expected to offer its leading scorer a maximum contract extension when it first becomes possible on July 12. The contract would go into effect starting with the 2007-08 season. Anthony is scheduled to make $4.69 million next season. "I want to be here," Anthony said. "I started something great here."</div> Source</div>
