    What was the provocation? Holding a gun? Not pointed at anyone. He was accosted and only shot when he was actively being attacked or threatened. Clear case of self defense.

    He's a kid who thought that gun made him a man. He came there looking for a confrontation and unfortunately he found one. He unnecessarily put himself in a position to take a life. The legality of this is to be determined but he was the catalyst. He wasn't saving anyone. He's isn't a hero. And he's sure as hell not a victim. He made a series of bad decisions that resulted in him taking 2 lives.

    Well, they were attacking Rittenhouse. One was bashing him with a skateboard and the other was chasing him, telling him earlier if he caught him, he would kill him.

    If there is rioting outside your home and you go down there with your sword to protect your home, neighbors, and local businesses that is one thing. If there is rioting in Vegas and you decide to grab your sword and drive over to jump in the action you're an idiot.

    The kid shows up to a demonstration and walks around with an illegally purchased gun like he is Rambo. Then he acts surprised when somebody challenges him. If nothing else, he should be neutered for grotesque stupidity.

    They weren't in jail so they probably already paid their debt to society.
