He's got a point none of the guys in the competition are playing anywhere near the 40+ minutes lebron does. and like he said he's a better in game dunker.

I wish he'd join the dunk contest.

I want everyone to see part of what seperates him from Kobe, T-Mac etc...

He admits that he lacks having killer instinct (and trusting himself) by saying he can't think up a dunk before he does it. Like Carter. He sees a dunk in his head, jumps out and does it.

I don't blame him though. It's only his 3rd year in the league so it might be in him somewhere. He just has to find it.

What does killer instinct and the dunk contest have to do with eachother?

If the dunk contest was like how it was in the 80s, I think LeBron might go for it. But nowadays, all the "normal" dunks have been done already. Now you need to have some sort of gimmick to have a chance of winning it. Obviously, LeBron isn't interested in coming up with that sort of thing.

Although I agree that it's challenging to come up with new dunks, it still can't be argued that the overall talent level of kids in the Dunk contest is just lacking lately.

Lebron joining would do a lot for it.. if anything, it would bring more attention to the event and encourage the league to do more to improve it.

I do honestly think that Lebron would lose though. I've never seen him do a dunk that shows creativity (including the slam dunk contest he won in HS).. But then, he also has the size and vert to do pretty much anything, so who knows.

We need to stop pretending he is the next Jordan. He's not. The next Jordan would take advantage of the exposure factor here and step it up for one afternoon of dunking, win it, and then talk about it for the rest of his life.

I'm not hating Lebron at all. There is nothing wrong with just wanting to be a good player and concentrating on winning some championships and putting a whole lotta money in your pocket at the same time.

I am getting a little concerned though that he doesn't seem to want to be "the man" at crunch time and he doesn't want to take any risks that make him look bad. He has to be a leader, in the position he is in.

Read my mind. I wanna see Vinceanity, Kobe, Bron, J-Rich, Mr.Smith,NateDogg (UW dayz). That would end the debate on who's got what?
