I have to disagree with you monkfanman. Carmello has been doing well but he hasn't helped his team out by himself.LeBron hasn't done this neither but you can say that he's doing it by himself now that Ricky Davis is gone. Carmello on the other hand has his head coach Jeff and the help of Earl Boykins and Marcus Camby.IMO

However Ilgauskas needs to step it up if they are to win. LeBron is a great player, wait scratch that, an unbelievable player. However he is not playing to his full potential hence he cannot be MVP, in one or two years, he'll be at his best, a living legend, then and probably only then can he star winning MVP's. He's too young and inexperienced right now, however mark my words, he's gonna be as big if not bigger then Jordan. In my eyes he's already better, he's such a humble and selfless ball player. This alone could be his path the fame, to the light and above all to his own greatness....

Lebron has had Boozer getting 10 rebounds a game for him, & Zydrunas as a scoring threat. Not to mention the bench support the cavs got from the trade & defensive minded guys like Eric Williams. & what exactly has Lebron "accomplished"? The team is 4-4 since the trade happened, which isnt exactly stellar. Sure he has been hot lately, but it wasnt too long ago that Melo was averaging 26 pts per game for one stretch. Plus he recently scored 37 pts as he single handedly lead the Nuggets over the rockets. Where are all the "Melo for MVP" articles?? & It was less than a month ago that Bill Walton was saying that Lebron was one of the reasons the cavs were losing. Add into that the likelihood of hitting the rookie wall, & its way to early to even put Lebron & MVP in the same sentance. This is just tabloid fodder if you ask me. If anyone should be getting "Rookie for MVP" articles right now, it should be Melo IMHO.

Plus, I'm not even sure this "Lebron for MVP" article is legit. I cant find in anywhere on ESPN Jump said that he "found it off another forum" & I'm waiting for confirmation on who wrote it.
Melo has scored only 20 points 3 times the last 11 games and has shot a terrible FG% He has had scoring games in this stretch of 12 (2 times), 10, 15, and 13. Even Wade had a better month than Melo. Once again, someone just being blind and not giving the respect to the rest of that Nuggets roster. You are on your last leg, first they said he never played with pros and that it would take him 3 years to prove anything, then he could not shoot, then he could not play big late in games. Now that Bron has done all that, the last thing the haters have is winning. There are proven NBA veteran stars in this league that are not winning now, so to pin that on a kid out of HS that just turned 19 is a major joke. And once again, someone else that did not read through the article and understand where he was coming from.

Where was all the "Melo for MVP" talk when he was scoring 26 pts a game practically every night & when the Nuggets matched their win total of last year 1/3 of the way into the season?? Wade hasnt had a better month than Melo. I dont know where you've been getting your stats, but Wade is not even close to having a better month than Melo. Melo has had 20 or more points in 5 games in December, not to mention a 37 pt game where he matched Lebrons career high. Also he has lead his team in scoring for 7 of 16 games in December. Even when he hasnt been the highest scorer on the court, he has often lead his team in rebounding. & Dont forget the most important stat that Melo is leading the other 2 rookies in: wins. I'm not a "hater" KJ. James has proved that he can play with the big boys. I never doubted him as a good player with limitless potetial. But I think you have to take a step back & realize that for a team that is 10-23, cannot have Lebron & "MVP" in the same sentence. Even the writer wrote of T-Mac as an MVP candidate when I think we can both agree he has had a better year statistically than Lebron, & has lead his team to as many wins as the Cavs. I dont know what this guys agenda is, but objectivity definitely isnt it. I mean if we had it your way KJ, Lebron would have already had his Jersey retired & a place in the NBA hall of fame after his 1st game.
Listen up troll..I never said he was an MVP. You need to stop putting words in peoples mouths. If you read his thread from the start, including the articles, you will never see me calling him an MVP. Step off. Wade put up 19 points a game in December, same as Melo, but also had over 4 rebounds and 4 assists a game, while shooting 53% from the field. Do your homework. Closed by KJ If you can't read the articles and these posts before blerting off, no one deserves to post in here.
