    Moda Center Recognized for Sustainability Best Practices

    The Blazers’ home arena will be the first existing sports arena to receive a LEED Platinum certification.

    The Portland Trail Blazers’ home arena, the Moda Center, will become the first existing pro sports arena to earn a LEED Platinum certification, it was announced Wednesday. The award is for the Moda Center’s best practices in “energy, water, waste, transportation and human experience,” per the release. (CONTINUED)

    This is actually pretty cool. I mean the award is whatever, but the fact the Rose Garden is doing the right things is great!

    I figured that they cut back a ton on water and waste by charging $10 a beer so nobody buys it.

    It cuts down on the amount of water being flushed and hands washed.
